As an exchange student spending a year in Japan, I have been amazed (quite happily) at the availability of big-breasted manga.  Especially since I can buy a volume measuring about 1.5 inches in depth for about 400 yen! (about $3.60)  It is simply wonderful. ^_^

Okay.  I've had my say.

Of course, you could make yourself usefull and scans samples, and/or translate available scans.

You must be buying them used, since new volumes usually go for 600-1000 Yen or more.  Even used, the newer volumes are usually 500 Yen or so, although older ones can be as little as 100 Yen.  There's lots of used bookshops though, so it isn't too hard to find them.

The most annoying thing about buying manga is that you can almost never read them in the shop (they are plastic wrapped) and the titles and cover illustrations don't really tell you much about the contents--even if you read Japanese.  As a result, you can waste huge amounts of money on stuff that you really didn't want if you try to buy new manga.

Where are you in Japan?  In Tokyo?

Nah. Fukuoka City.  It's on Kyushu island.

And I may have been wrong on the price, since it's been months since I actually bought a hentai manga over here.

I've never been to Kyushu.  I'd like to go some time.  You should check out Beppu--I hear the onsen there are really interesting.

As for manga, see if you have a "Book-Off" anywhere near you.  They usually have loads of used hentai that's pretty cheap.  Sometimes they even let you browse it.

I would like to go somewhere as an exchange student, but I only know English .  A buddy of mine is alright at Japanese.  He learned it because he was considering going over for a year for a job.  Whenever we make a beer run to the liquor store, I ask him what the symbols on the bottle of sake mean

I think that dying would be a small pay off for all the big breased mangas

I have wanted to travel to Japan for the last 9 years of my life. Maybe one day I will make it.

Hey, don't let a lack of Japanese language skills keep you from reaching for that dream.  When I came over here, I only knew about 7 words.  ("Baka" being one of them. ^_^)

And yeah, it does suck to be attacked by giant mutant creatures on a semi-weekly basis.  But hey, the Japanese are so efficient, everything is built back before you can really notice. (see: Tokyo Tower)
