To demonstrate this kind of anger towards  someone whose only "crime" is an inability to dole out new stroke material fast enough to satisfy a bunch of chronic masturbators...well, that's just plain sad.

I think we all agree that MarkT's stewardship of the BEA Story Archive during the past year or so falls well short of adequate. But for those who post such vitriol towards him truly need to reevaluate their shallow, empty, pathetic, miserable little lives to see why one-handed reading is such an important aspect of their waking hours. I'd suggest you try to get another hobby besides waiting in line at Rite-Aid for more lube.

My point here is simple: if I were MarkT, I'd be thinking "fuck you too, pinhead." I might even put up a handful of new stories every so often, just to jerk chains on the whiners. Must be rough to have so few problems to deal with.

Franz happens to be very busy with real life and a real career, unlike many of us  He is of genius level intellect, unlike many of us  Soooo deal eh?  I for one am glad that hes happy.

Why must people be jerks? Do they loathe themselves so much that all of humanity disgusts them because it reflects their own self worthlessness?

To whomever would take legal measures because their feelings were hurt over the Internet: you need help.

As for people who seem to have an inexhaustable supply of bad news and the need to go around and spanking everyone's bottoms for misdeeds... you need to adopt a few kids.

I think the occasional constructive complaint is very healthful for an operation's success.  However, the wholesale ass-ripping that appears so fresh in our minds tends to take a deleterious effect.  I agree that the state of affairs may appear sad when we consider that people are complaining about a lack of one-handed reading material (I get a kick out of that name).  I also know that at one time MarkT was a giant when it came to keeping the archive and the new-releases shelf.  The fact that his online endeavor has taken a backseat when compared to some real-world issues (and it doesn't matter what they are) is unfortunate, and it's a shame that he hasen't taken measures to keep his archive updated in his absence (I've volunteered on several occasions to help him out).  The sheer gall that someone has to say "fuck you" and to wish him a miserable Christmas and a miserable New Year still baffles me.  These comments are not constructive at all.  They show the contempt that people have when their bad sides get the better of them... and to think that they are continuing, knowing full well that MarkT continues undaunted in his services, although they may be few and far between.

Bravo MarkT for your candor and persistence.  Because you obviously are not giving the archive the attention that you once gave it, don't you think that it would be appropriate to recruit an assisstant to help out around the shop a bit?

I volunteer myself.
