I have noticed a large number of site offer vid clips. I like this cause movement is way bette rthan no movement. Well most of the time anyways. With certain snaps not movement is better. But only with a very few.

So it got to me to thinking. A lot of the site offer short vid clips. Say about the 12 to 20 second mark. Are they that short to save on bandwidth? Or is it something else?

And with the world wide spread of broadband, heck even I have it now in a banana republic, why make say 6 15 sec ones instead of a 1.5 min one instead?


Please tell me it is not cause of the belief that males will see six and think they getting more value. Heavan forbid that there are any out there that think that. But it would not suprise me in the least.


Somebody like that may think it is better to get 6 quarters instead of $1.5 I guess. heh.



Also. This one is a puzzle too.


Now then. We all know it is a business. That I can understand though it does make me a bit sad at times. As I like to think of sex as entertainment AND sharing. But anyways. Most sites have pics that can be downloaded and at least one hands over those pics either as singles or as a zip file. My thinking is that payment has been made to view the pics. With me so far? Okay. Then how is it that some site load up as html and not a jpg for example such that you cannot download the pic. Is is that the thinking is that the members are paying to view but not to keep? Is that it?

Very puzzling indeed.

Hmmm
You probably find that they offer the shorter clips option because their server where the clips are held does not have a particularly large bandwidth so by having shorter clips, people can download them without causing too much strain on resources.
Also short vid clips are offered because they possibly believe that the majority of regular users do not have broadband, so they make it easier for them to use the site by offering short clips, meaning easier downloads for all users.
Perhaps they use shorter vid clips because they are using a memory hogging format for the vid clips such as Mpeg, when they should really use formats like quicktime or even flash.

There are a number of other reasons, but they tend to get a bit technical and I am not entirely sure which is more relevent since I do not know the site in question.
