Yup, it most definately works.  Mine finished sometime during the night and I've been seeding all day.  Check the pic for proof!

 

I can try to help anyone havin probs with BitTorrent.  Basically, with a BT client, it uses the .torrent file to know what server to connect to to pull a list of people sharing as well as a checksum to make sure it doesn't get corrupted.  

Check the link below for a list of BitTorrent clients.  Its easiest to use the official one.  It installs with no questions asked and when you click on a .torrent file, it asks you where to save it to.

Thats basically it.  If you save the .torrent to your hard drive you can doubleclick it anytime to resume the download or seed it to others to share like I'm doing.  

The only probs come in with firewalls.  Each connection to download a piece of the file from other users takes a seperate port open in the firewall.  For that consult your firewall's manual or help files, it differs between them all.  I'll continue to seed for the next day or so if at all possible so more people can get it.    

Edit - Added another PC at a different location seeding, I'll leave it seeding for a week or so.

We recently had hardware problem and need some stress-testing after repair. Eiken will be downloadable from here and Shinkon Gattai Godannar from here starting from 27.02.2004 9:00 GMT and for week or two (links do not work just yet! server is repaired but we can not put it back without filling buncha forms... arghh...).

Let's not get crazy yet, because these announcements have a way of not panning out, but the  Eikenist site says that the new issue of Shonen Champion (#14 -- 4 March) reports that the DVD release of the second half of  Eiken-bu yori ai o komete is scheduled for Wednesday, 23 June.  How accurate this will prove to be remains to be seen...

The original announcement back in 2002 for the OVAs indicated there would be four episodes, but it looks pretty definite that there will only be these two.

Meanwhile, the 14th volume of the manga compilations came out in January and Matsuyama is now up to installment 139.  A 15th volume should be out this month, but it has yet to be announced...

I guess 30 odd must be too old to "get" the whole anime thing.  

I gave it a fair chance, I watched the whole episode and even went back over some sections, but to me it just came across as being really wacky shit that might appeal to teenage virgin males, but AGAIN, I must be missing something here.

I think it may have something to do with the breasts...

But seriously, most people seem to either really like anime or really dislike it. There's not a lot of room for a middle ground, especially with something as crazy as Eiken. Like you said: To each their own!!!

(By the way, I'd just like to mention that my dial-up conection makes me very sad. )

You're half right,in my personal experience it appears that after the age of 35 give or take,the number of anime fans tend to drop drastically as you move into each older age group.

Just a heads-up...

It looks like the 2nd OVA will be out on Jun 23rd.  As for a fansub version...that remains to be seen.
