[this is from W / iSpork - I wanted to let everyone know]
Hello -
It has taken some time for me to collect addresses and write this email, so you will have to forgive me if it seems disjointed. I am not much of an editor.
As you have probably surmised by the subject line of this email, I am bearing the worst news that can be imagined.
There is no good way to say it, so I will just get to it. Zasha and her favorite motorcycle were struck by a severely intoxicated motorist on the freeway just east of Houston, Texas, on our way home from Bike Week in Florida. She passed away in the ambulance, five miles from the wreck.
I have only now looked at her computer (I was forced to spend some time with Houston law enforcement due to my response to the other motorist, who, previous to my response, was uninjured), and have tried to make a list of those that she corresponded with on a personal and private level from the addresses listed in her "internet friends" list. I have no way of knowing how many other friends online she has.
I know that she had developed friendships with many folks on line; and that she grew to care about many of you a great deal, perhaps more than a person is usually likely to. But that was who she was.
I feel that I owe it to those of you that she considered her friends, that at least you know why you haven't heard from her. I cannot tell you how much I wish there was another reason.
I thought that day was the worst in my life - I was wrong. The following days have been and continue to be by far much more difficult. She was and remains my one and only true love, the love of my life, my one and only wife. There is no other with her grace, wit and charms.
Thank you for being her friends, and by extension, my friends.
