Having been gone at Easter, i only just read this news via email. I am setting out below what i wrote to Zasha's husband directly.
I am so very sorry to hear the news of Zasha's passing.
This is terrible, tragic news which i can only sense and feel from a distance.
Even though i never met Zasha or you, I had communicated with her often enough from and within the BEA to have counted her as a 'friend'. I had been of the first to give her advice on morphing techniques...and we both shared in 'Mac obsession'.
I know you contributed some at the BEA, and she obviously found a home there, although she hadn't been present for a few months. She was, however, very active for quite some time and of course actually created a gallery there.
You personally, of course, are the one who will miss her the most and who new her the best. Your loss is great and i can imagine what a vital part of your life she was. Even from my internet knowledge of who she was, i could see she was an unusually creative person with wide and divergent interests, and had great passion for all that she did. She referred to her husband a lot, and i thought often that he was a pretty lucky guy...and she must be as well.
Thankyou for sending your message...your very sad news.
I share in your sadness and loss, and may life bring you joy and fulfillment in spite of this tragedy you have had to endure.
Sincerely, jayjay
