That sounds like a line from Patton in which a reporter noticed that General Patton had a Bible with him and asked him if he read it and that was his answer.  I was Right! I just clicked on the link of your sentence and there it was. Patton remains one of my favorite movies. I have the VHS, DVD and I see it a lot.

That was one of John Ford's last movies he directed. Lee Marvin was a great bad guy and John Wayne was very good as a tragic character. Jimmy Stewart was great in that movie. I always enjoy seeing it. I would love to see it at the movie house because this is its 60th anniversary.
