Drat! Lots of fireworks going off. But my cat is so stoned on catnip that nothing bothers him.

You know, TW, Sherman tells those guys to leave him alone, but they insist on coming his way...

Well, I see he told that to Erin Andrews and she quickly threw it back to the booth before he could say something that the FCC wouldn't like.

Curious how two AFC West teams made it to the Super Bowl. What you say ?!  ??? When the AFL and NFL merged in 1970, the Broncos were placed in the AFC West. When the Seahawks joined the NFL as a expansion team in 1976, they were placed in the AFC West. So Denver and Seattle were divisional rivals. In 2008, when the Texans joined the league, to balance the conferences, they moved Seattle to the NFC and that is how it became possible for two teams which were in the same conference and division for a bunch of years to get to play each other for the championship game. Funny how this things can work out. Who will win the Super Duper Bowl ? It is said that offense gets the headlines but it is defense that wins championships. I know this will pain pedonbio to no end but I think that Seattle will win it all due to a better defense. My $0.02.

Yale University has won 18 National Championships — more than any other college team.

According to Parke H. Davis, whose work is accepted by the NCAA, Yale has 27 national championships, the most recent of which was in 1907.

The U of Chicago only had two, 1905 and 1913. But we were handicapped because the program was terminated in 1936 and the world's first self-sustaining nuclear reactor was built on the field used for practice.

^ First thing I noticed was actually that in the background they have the Saints and the Eagles but on top they have the Packers and 49ers. Then I noticed the turd between Collingwood and Michaels.  ;D That's a good catch Goob.  ;D

Well, I see he told that to Erin Andrews and she quickly threw it back to the booth before he could say something that the FCC wouldn't like.

And Sherman, so I read, is still taking heat over this (and Erin Andrews is also being attacked) - while Michael Crabtree, the guy who shoved him in the face - is apparently off the hook for any uncivilized behavior.

Seattle and Denver are about equal-sized television markets, so I suspect Denverites are suffering thru the same thing: The evening local news broadcast. Each 30 minute brodcast consists of 8 minutes of commercials and: 8 minutes of "how the Seahawks are doing in New Jersey"; 2 minutes of an interview with the original owner of the team; 2 minutes devoted to an escaped prisoner, the lack of rain, the civil war in Syria, and the weather in Northern Europe; 4 minutes of weather, consisting of 2 minutes of local weather and 2 minutes of Northern New Jersey and how that might affect The Game; 2 minutes of health news about the cardiac stress of the Superbowl; and 4 minutes of sports news. Guess what that's about.

Well, today is the day for the Super Hype ... ur .... Super Blow Out ... uh .... Super Bowl game. Denver is favored by 2 1/2 points. I have no skin in this game so actually I will be working while its on. I'll be at work from 7 AM to 9 PM and it will be all overtime. If Dallas was playing I would not be working. The best part is that I will be at the ballroom with the VIP guests, who usually behave well and so therefore it will be easy to keep crowd control, and so I'll see the game and get overtime pay to see it. Not bad. I just hope for a good game. It would be nice if Denver wins because I suspect this will be Manning's last season and it would be nice for him to go out a winner. But then Seattle has never won a Lombardi trophy and that would be good also. Also, it would be fun for Seattle to win in order to see pedonbio writhe in agony.  ;) ;D
