I would wish to issue an amicus brief to bolster my esteemed colleague jimmarg's argument.

The prosecution gratefully welcomes the submission from this distinguished friend of the court, one more piece of the mounting evidence on LSG's mounds, and which I'm sure will further persuade the jury that the defendant is brimming over with guilt.

If only...if only...  This very frustrating gif might have been my absolute favorite 3 seconds of all the hours of Just Shoot Me!, if only the director had told Laura to lose the damn coat.  If only...

The view-obstructing coat in the above gif made me think of some other JSM episodes where Laura wore an unnecessary extra layer.  Why would they try to hide the stars of the show behind corduroy?!

Another example of a totally unnecessary coat, although you can still spot a great white jumping out on the starboard side.  And doesn't it look like Spade is struggling to control his hands?

...and one more shot with a coat we wish the wardrobe people had lost, but in this case maximum LSG just couldn't be confined.  The real crime was that this top (from Dog Day Afternoon, JSM season 5) was only worn in a scene that lasted all of one minute, nineteen seconds, and most of it with a much poorer view of the goods.  What a waste!

Another April Fools Day stunt the Just Shoot Me! staff played on LSG, this one by the handy guys on the stage crew. (Gotta love the Teamsters!)  Laura doesn't look too happy, but it was all in good fun and they only left her like this for a couple of hours, long enough for plenty of photos and a video.

SPADE ON LSG - (Physical) This may not be great acting, but it's an exhibition of remarkable self-control. Although I think his eyes and the grip of his hands are pretty revealing about what he'd rather be squeezing.

SPADE ON LSG - (Verbal) Actual quote from the DVD extras on Just Shoot Me, seasons 1 & 2: (After the writers said that Finch was written around Spade's real behavior) "They write me jokes and even if they're not right for me, I just make them up... I just show up, boop, boop, boop, say my jokes, like 'Nina, you're slutty,' and, 'Hey, Laura, your boobs are HUGE!' "  Notice that he said, 'Nina,' when referring to Wendie Malick's character, but used Laura's real name when talking about her rack. I guess the line between make-believe and reality fell apart when it came to those puppies.

SPADE ON LSG #2 (Physical) The JSM writers weren't going to script a scene where Spade got to squeeze the parts of Laura's anatomy he really wanted to squeeze, so I think they gave him this alternative. And I'm sure he pulled in some tight frontal mash-up, too.

SPADE ON LSG #2 (Verbal) Actual quote from interview in Maxim, January 2000 - Interviewer: "Are your co-star Laura San Giacomo's breasts a special effect of some kind?"

Spade: "Oh, they're special. I'm a fan and she knows it. The first time I met her I was like, 'Aren't you gonna introduce me?' We get lots of letters from viewers about them. Somebody said she should breast-feed me. Actually, I put that in the suggestion box in her dressing room. But Laura just rolls her eyes; she's a good sport about all the big-boob jokes."

SPADE ON LSG #3 - (Physical) Sometimes you just gotta dive right in! Once again, since the writers weren't going to write a scene where Finch would grab the goodies, they wrote one where he took a looong faceful. I don't think Laura is acting, with that "Enough, already," look on her face. 

SPADE ON LSG #3 - (Verbal/Written)   That's right, he published a 225-page memoir without a single mention of LSG or her abundant charms. Damn! I could write that many pages on her boobs in one sitting and I've never even met 'em!
