I've avoided this thread because old men get really boring; but considering how many of you old farts have posted, mebbee I should, too.
I remember a genus of magazine called "men's magazines" which were the same size as modern magazines, but were printed on pulp paper (newsprint) and sold throughout the 1950s for 35 to 50 cents. I think they were modeled on the old Police Gazette, but that was a conclusion I drew long after the fact.
They usually had realistic drawings on the covers, and went by names like True, Man's Adventure, or Battle! and were a mix of stories about World War Two or sex, and usually a mixture of the two. I don't know whether there was ever an article titled, "Hitler's Secret Sex Slaves", but that would be the idea. The best part, though, was the drawings. It seems that all the damsels in distress in WW II had very big boobs, and very few clothes. I assume there were stories that went along with the pictures, and I am sure I read them, but I don't remember very much.
