I'm not the least bit surprised to hear that Dee Dee has 'recycled' implants. Considering the fact that obtaining new custom made implants in large sizes in the USA is virtually impossible, and that obtaining new custom made implants in a foreign country costs more than a new Mercedes, there would be considerable financial advantages to obtaining 'used' implants. For a fact, implants, like any other medical device, can be sterilized and resterilized. But as Kathi points out (hi Kathi - be seeing you soon!), there are ethics and risks involved with recycling implants.
The one I would worry about the most is that 'used' implant bags have already been folded 10 million times by their former owner, meaning that the probability of developing a bag failure or leak is much much higher. IMHO it would be a real bitch to invest thousands into getting 'used' implants, plus investing more thousands into promoting yourself and your website, when just at the moment when things start to take off with magazine offers, website signups, feature bookings etc. your left breast turns back into a C cup overnight due to a 'flat tire', and with no 'spare tire' plus no chance of obtaining one!
