DJPFC, thanks for the pics.  She is truly extraordinary, and I for one certainly appreciate your generosity.  I'm not crazy about the "wide angle lens closeup" photos, though.  I know it puts a little more emphasis on the breasts, but I think it gives a sort of "fun house mirror" look to the pic, and I'd rather be able to get a real idea of how big the boobs are relative to the rest of the woman.  You know?  In how many of your pics (percentage-wise) would you say you use that technique?

And anyone who advocates outright theft should have something stolen from them in return.  It cost us a lot of money to get Jana to do the work she did -- the money we make goes right back into the site so that we can continue to hire these ladies.  They don't pose for free, just like you don't work for free.   I don't know why some a-holes consistently fail to grasp this.  I guess they feel the rules shouldn't apply to them.

We never mind giving away freebies (in fact, I'm going to see if we can do a special free clip just for BEA members) but advocating and promoting theft of someone else's hard work really sucks, TapeGuy, and I hope it comes back around to you.

I saw other "sh*t" forum that post info about STOLEN copirighted vids and pics, but this can't happen on this great Forum.

I am sorry for you DJPF cause u are really great and i consider you (like many others) one very good "co-worker" of mine. I am little but we make the same work.

Just out of curiosity, where did you get all the material
that shows up on your pinupvideos site?  Did you obtain
licenses for all of that material, or did you just steal
it to line your own pockets?

Well smarty, we have our own collection of 8mm films from the past that are long out of copyright protection that we have transfered to video and then digitize.  We also buy or license from other collectors or producers and have for over 20 years now.  Other companies do the exact same thing and sell DVD's and tapes of the same clips we have, which can be done by us, them and anyone because the copyrights on them have lapsed.  

We also have a long standing policy that, in the event that some copyright has NOT lapsed and someone legitimately owns it, then it will be removed.  Despite this policy, In 8 years of being online, we have never had to do this ONCE.

What if the real owners don't know you are using it "to line your pockets" ?

Does that mean anyone can copy it from your site, then sell it too?

Copyrights last 70 years.  Your material is from the 30's?

If there are real owners (i.e. something that was copyrighted and documented as such after 1980) that we're not aware of and that aren't aware of us, then there's obviously not much that either party can do.  If someone owns a copyright of a film we have and we don't know about this copyright and can't locate them and don't know about them (and vice-versa) then what can be done?  That's why we have th epolicy -- if someone owns the legit copyright to something and comes to us saying "hey we own that" we will either license it from them then and there or remove it immediately.  The peanuts we make on that site wouldn't justify any other course of action.  There's just not a massive market for old 8mm films and videos.

And to answer your other question, yes, if something is legitimately in public domain, it can be copied and resold by anyone.

Exactly -- there's a lot of stuff on our site that is owned by a third party and that we have licensed as well, so that stuff couldn't be copied and resold.

We have lawyers that deal with all this, believe it or not, and copyright is not an exact science (believe it or not) because copyright laws are different in every country.  We just do the best we can and act as reasonbly as possible, a policy that has served us well over the years.
