Mmm... I LOVE anime babes.  But I also love the real thing.  Which I get pretty much every day thanks to my soon-to-be-wifey!

I was just wondering what everyone thought of anime in comparison to a picture of a real woman. IS it more attractive to you personally or less?
Heres a picture to help you make up your minds lol

I dont find that they are better or worse I like them equally, anime just has more of a dream/fantasy turn on added to it

P.S Tifa is also one of my fav's :P

P.S.S nice Eiken pic

Is that the Arthur Adams one?

Yes, that's the one (Character name: Jonny Future). I couldn't think of his (and her) name when I posted and just used the index # for reference.

BTW, ZoneofDecay Thank You for the compliment, but other than scanning and altering some of the drawings, I can't take credit for MAKING any of the drawings in my montage.   By altering, I mean that I remove what is typically a bikini to make a pinup nude. Added: I also color drawings if they were only in black and white.
Thank you for your patience as I indulge my need to share.

Not to pick on boobifanX, but his post shows the irony of some people who claim to prefer photos. He answers the original question ("IS it more attractive to you personally or less?"), quote, "For me: quite less. To be exact: nearly not attractive at all. etc.."
Now read his signature.. quote, "Big boobs should be nude, firm and round" How many breasts in real life can match his description of what breasts should be?  In real life gravity rules, unfortunately in this case (not to mention clothing getting in the way for many photos).

There are breast in real life that are big, round, firm and (at least sometimes) nude.
But that is not the point.
The point is, that even the best anime drawings are nothing but scetches of real women. No anime drawer can draw anime pic that come close enough to a real womans skin texture, a real womans face (with all the details of the skin and so on), a real womans hair, a real womans body and so on.

I think the Herald said it best. The point is, for me, seeing something that you can only see in your mind brought out into this world in some way. For me it's about a fantasy, about size and proportion. If it were real, I'd have no need to express the thoughts I do in the way that I do because my fantasy would be tangible.

Hell yeah Tifa be the best!!!! She is archetypal babe material!!! Not neccesarily anime.....but what the hell!

I would have to say that although an anime picture is ONLY a drawing, it is the emphasis we place on it with our mind that imbues it with sexual qualities....also the male (and occasionally female) eye is attracted to curved, rounded objects. Animation or illustration can be used to heighten and emphasise the curves.

Yeah... real photos and anime drawings have equal potential for enjoyment in my mind. But what someone said about variety is very true, too much of the same ingredient turns to poison...

Yeah you need to mix and match otherwise you kinda die.
A bit of variety never hurt anyone

Well, if you want to get technical, that's indirectly moving into a discussion about 'fetish' because a lot of folks who entertain with anime also have specific fantasies. But it does indicate to me more the issue some folks might have with content variety and target audience.

Pictures of any kind are to me a second best replacement for the real thing. Both photography and erotic drawing portray archetypes exaggerated so as to be pronounced and communicative of some type of idea. It is the entertainment of an ideal, or the advancement of an ideal about eroticism.

To me, the failing of anime as eroticism is the way the mouth is typically drawn. That's why I don't like the association my stuff has gotten with anime, but that's not the point. The mouth is not just the object of a sexual urge, but in my opinion the core of what makes human expression unique and human. A wide range of emotions and thought can be expressed with our mouths and to me it is one of the most capable vehicles for expressing eroticism.

What I think is that it does not matter what the medium is, it depends solely on the viewer. They take the image they see and make it do whatever they make it do in their minds. It is, flesh or flash, still about conjuring an idea in the mind of the viewer. If they are only receptive to a certain range of ideas, and mine do not succeed in emulating those ideas in their mind, the my work has failed as eroticism in that instance. But it works conversely as well in that some people need very specific forms of stimulation when we are discussing using images as a replacement for the real thing and invoking arousal in this way. Physical stimulation has chemical components and it is totally different. I don't think it's possible to capture the visceral reaction I get when I feel a woman's body pressing against my own with an image, no matter how overly exaggerated the features of that image appear, because it is not even remotely the same type of arousal.

Woah....thats detail.

Although pics are nice nothing can beat a woman. I also agree with the mouth but disagree on certain points.
Yes you can only gain a FULL sexual fulfilment with a real woman, but you might not neccesarily want that at the time you are feeling turned on etc.

Im sayin that there is a time for pictures and anime and a time for 3D touchable, tangible reality. You do not need any one all the time, but it is best for a normal person not to either lack a "real" sexuality or have too much of that.

The idea of art is to express not the true emotion/response but to make us see that feeling. With pictures it is the same. People know its not true reality but enjoy it because of a triggered response inside them that can make them see "real" emotions/sexiness within something that may lack it.

Note: Nothing better than the real thing though

Its never wrong to dabble with fantasy. Just so long as you know it's fantasy.

As for me, I'm in different moods. Sometimes drawn is good, sometimes real is good. I can't explain it.

Anime girls defy all logic, I think that's one of the attractions. After all how could you have a woman with a 22 inch waist, 30 inch hips and a 80 inch bust line? Plus long shaply legs, perfect skin and proportions? But I do get bored of anime at times, but never bored of real women.
