PeEVEed page 18 and the start of "The Missing Materia".
« on: July 31, 2002, 05:00:15 AM »
There's the 18th page of PeEVEed, and the first two pages of the second Tifa comic.  I doubt I'll be able to produce any more of the Tifa comic until after PeEVEed, that's why I posted these two pages now.  Drawing that big shot of Midgar was a pain.

There's also two new (they've been posted in the UG here) pictures of Juno and Mika from PeEVEed that I just colored.

And there are a number of changes to the website.  I don't know if the new Pulse HTML pages are too much of a load or not.  I've also added a background pattern to the first two pages of the site.  I might add it to some of the inner pages to prevent so much white everywhere.

Let me be the first to congratulate you on yet another fine piece of artwork LF. Despite the fact that people are always going on about the lack of BE comics - obviously unaware of your existance - please realise that those of us that look at your work think it is fantastic.

The new Tifa comic looks interesting...of course breasts are always interesting.

The new PeEVEed was fun. I kinda suspected she hadn't been the first in the company hit with the virus, plus to get that many people, more than just her had to have opened it. Pass on to Wolf that I loved the "burns from the french fryer are just beginning to heal" line. Eve the waitress was pretty cute too. Can't wait to meet Mika .

I checked the pulse pages, and they loaded plenty fast for me. Although I do wish they were actual html pages and not just links to the images so that I could navigate from strip to strip instead of having to either back out to the archive or manually retype the strip number in the URL bar.

Good stuff, thanks!

Almost forgot. I notice you seem to be indecisive on whether to give Eve a pointy chin or not. Every panel in the strip, she's got a pointy chin. All the shots in the gallery, she has a rounded one.

Hmm, I guess I'm not as omniscient as I thought.

Another awesome update, LF.  The new colored drawings are simply great -- the colored panel from the comic (on the main PeEVEed comic page) is really sharp, too.  And no problems loading the pages on this side (of course, I've recently upgraded to DSL, so that makes a big impact.)

Eve was the one who infected the computers with the virus... but wouldn't it be worse than her losing her job if her only friend at the company lost his?  It may also have been Sena trying to help, I can't remember what Wolf and I had planned.  But Eve was the cause of the virus.

How Eve infected the whole company could be that she got the e-mail, and opened it- then it sent itself to everyone else on the network (as her).  But that would have required everyone else to have opened it up right away... unless they have some kind of IM program (it may have popped up by itself).  Considering how old their computers are, they probably don't have a very good security  or anti-virus setup.  It may have automatically transferred itself to the other computers directly over the company network.  Although I'm not an authority on this, I've never used a (non-personal) business network.

Mika is Sena's previous master.  We haven't decided when she'll show up, but it'll be before the end of the third story.  We wanted to introduce all of the primary characters in the first three stories.

I've been planning to change create back and forward html pages for Pulse, but it's taking some time.  If you consider I have to produce two sets- one for PG, one for R, there needs to be a total of 128 pages.  I have the R rated one finished, but not the PG one yet.  I'll also be adding links to the other comics on the site at the bottom.

About Eve, I made a lot of changes to her while I was practicing an anime style.  Most of the pictures in the gallery where made before I started PeEVEed (expect for the bunny pic), and at that time, I drew her with a rounded chin.  I had asked Varchild for his thoughts on making the PeEVEed characters more anime, and he said that one of the things I should do with all of the female characters was to make their chins pointy.  I did that, but it may have not been until a few pages into PeEVEed.
