That is a great example...what you saw on HBO was a tough watch for alot of people in the lifestyle.... The swinger demographic is unique in that although no one is excluded, and you do have venues like you saw on HBO...anybody can be in that lifestyle...your more typical Swinger is in extremely good physical condition...Many, in fact most lifestyles clubs and organisations cater to young, and fit crowds...when Jane and I joined our first club, we had to send in a picture for approval...
granted, we have been to events where we weren't happy with the crowd, but we have also been to events that for lack of a better term had the most beautiful people we have ever seen....In Fact, if you were to attend the parties that we regulalry attend in NY/NJ, you'd be extremely pleases with who is walking around...
Your perception is not uncommon, and until you have experienced oherwise first hand it probably won't change...the thing is, with people's careers on the line, and pressures from family, church, and even their neightbors (we know people that were forced to move because the neighborhood found out about thier lifestyle and it got so bad their children were harrassed in school)...the younger people in the lifestyle tend to be more concerned with annonimity...it makes sense that older ones woould come out, because their k1ds are probably grown, their careers more secure, and maybe they are even tired of the bullshit oif hiding something that they have experienced as wonderful because other people can't handle it...
Your typical swinger is 28-45 years old...and in great fucking shape...you will never see them walk out of their front door looking like they just woke up, or crawlwed out from under a car...it seems that people that partake in this lifestyle are often very successful in other areas of their lives...its amazing how a good sex life can translate...
