I am incredulous that anyone would actually defend MarkT.    I find it ludicrous and stupefying.  Those few of you that commend him for doing such a fine job...*LOL!*....WHEN?   I'll tell you when:  A VERY LONG TIME AGO.   You should have thanked him then, not now.   Get real.  Get your heads out of the sand.

I don't give a rat's *** what he did or did not sign.  He volunteered AND THERE ARE OBLIGATIONS THAT HE ASSUMED at that time, like it or not.   You bumpkins just want to ignore the facts, that's all.   His stoney silence hasn't helped, either.  Don't feel badly for Mark...he brought this on himself.

If MarkT has any class at all...any digity left...he will do the right thing:  Either SACK UP or  step down IMMEDIATELY.

Enough of this crap.

Now that the blindingly obvious has been repeated at least twice in all respects, let's cut to the chasers. (Take yer choice, Bloody Mary or Mimosa.) Clearly, the only way to attain satisfaction for all sides here is to convene a mob lynching. We can all argue about how to get more free porn after we've strung the bastard up.

So, let's finalize our plans and get the crusade underway. Herewith: anyone wishing to help remove Mark T. as keeper of tales shall purchase an airplane ticket to Oz. (Take yer choice, One-way or Round Trip.) Once the mob is assembled, tracking down the miscreant can begin. When found, Mr. T. shall be torn asunder, and all trace of his mortal remains ground into the dirt. (I'm fairly sure they have dirt in Oz.) No time or thought shall be spared on getting him to explain any of the working details of the current site, as there's zero chance anyone else will actually try to continue its existence. We'll just start anew with a straight text files list, and build from there. If Mark could do it, so can we.

So, all we need is a date. Since two weeks lead time is required for airfares that won't bankrupt the participants... howsabout June 31st, eh?

TransPonder

Or we could save some effort, and just nuke Perth and Sydney.

Fret: Believe it or not that's what I've heard. It does make sense. All you need to do is recall that MarkT said sometime ago that he still had a substantial backlog - and as his *recent* updates have only had around 6 stories then all we need to do is make up some numbers that come up with 30.

Bad Irving: Not knowing is quite bad - however what is worse is when you are expecting something and it is not delivered. So really someone saying that they'll update in autumn when they know it'll be much later/ never is simply building people's hopes up and smashing them against the rocks.

Well, we may as well accept the inevitable:  We are going to be stuck with the inept MarkT forever.  It has become painfully obvious that Mr. I-Will-Update-When-I-Damn-Well-Please has absolutely no intention of trying to save face by stepping down.

Furthermore, the Forum Owner no doubt has been totally supportive of Mark's unacceptable behavior, leading one to believe that perhaps he and MarkT have cut some kind of "side deal"...a sort of "BEA-gate", if you will.  I'd be interested in see what a full-scale investigation would reveal.

Sad, but true, there is no end in sight to this comedy of errors.   I suspect we are doomed to float in limbo forever more.  Sad.  A once proud site, reduced to a pile of rubbish.

I can't wait for Mark's next 6-month late "update."  I can just imagine the outpouring of backslapping and gladhanding that we'll all have to endure.

Now if Mark was taking care of business....none of this would have evr happened.  It's too late now and I can envision this getting a whole lot worse before it gets better, if ever.

I am removing all my previous comments owing to my decision to not participate in what is becoming a hotter and hotter flame thread.

Does it Matter if he is is OUSTED or if he STEPS DOWN? Either way, despite all the drum-beating, despite all the handwringing, name calling, torch-bearing crowd at the gates, hullabalu, fear and loathing, angst, self-flagellation, and 1000's of voices howling in the night bemoaning the lack of NEW free porn, either way - we still havent heard from the owner announcing a new Head Archivist. So we are stuck reading the same old stories.

Mark gets a thank you for his past efforts, and a suggestion to either update the archive or announce his resignation. We all should have better things to do than have a flame war about this. I think a point has been made, a line drawn in the sand, and enough voices have been heard.

Face it, Owner is NOT going to toss him aside without a replacement, and Mark T is not going to step up and file a single story because an angry crowd is calling for his head. He can live his life, to his own requirements, and in a sense, he might choose to never update again.

I think we should let it be, and it will play to a conclusion one way or another. So lets move on.
