I hadn't seen any posts on the anime/manga Eiken recently so I thought I'd make this one. So has anyone else been buying the manga? Four volumes are out so far, I have all of the original Japanese ones and sample scans can be found on my Eiken fansite (go to the manga book pages and there's a link at the bottom to the scans).

I know some have complained there's no true nudity in it but I don't mind, I like it that way. So, any other hardcore Eiken fans here?

Were there only two episodes of Eiken done before it got cancelled or something? I'm not aware how exactly Japanese Television works, but I find the idea they'd do two kind of strange: even the CLERKS cartoon got six episodes, and I was under the impression Eiken is fairly popular.
Though, I could understand it testing pretty badly.  

Or is there more of the series, just not available in the U.S.?

The anime was an OVA, which means Original Video Animation, and thus were only released to home video and not TV. I heard a rumor there were supposed to be four episodes but apparently they decided on just two. There's other CD drama episode however, but they're Japanese-only and obviously there's no accompanying images.

I've been collecting and reading the manga as well and I'm really, really enjoying it. When I was in Japan over the summer I saw that they had a lot of volumes of the comics.. can't read Japanese and I didn't pick them up. I'm really eager to check out the next issue.

Rumor has it that there was an "H" game for Eiken released in Japan and I've seen some shots of the CG. Anyone know more about this, or where I can get those CG images?

A common misconception about the game is that it's hentai. While I personally don't have the game, there's nothing to suggest it. All of the sample images are based off manga scenarios. Apparently the game is made into various stages based off the manga, and in one sample image you can see a board-game like feature. I think it also comes with various Eiken features for your computer.
