Mod edit: that's Lala from ATK Exotics, long a favorite of mine. She did at least 14 sets for them and perhaps worked for other sites too, but I've never been able to find more than a handful of loose pix of her. -Pal

I don't know if this particular response to the thread's title question has been mentioned yet:

Because they're almost by definition "girl next door" types, and not pro models. We see them as more available -- someone we might actually have a chance with. Pity that Hef gave up on this long ago; a return to it would really make Playboy stand apart once more.
