The Lost Starship is a really powerful film.  It really hit me.  Thanks, rtpoe.

I apologize in advance if I post duplicate pictures in any of the picture threads I deal in.  My MO in getting pictures of one girl is to rip her Instagram.  That ends up with me having up to 2000 pics of her.  I've tried almost half a dozen duplicate finder programs, and none of them find all of the duplicates I inevitably end up with.

Last year, Ryan Reynolds did a little promo spot for his movie Free Guy. You remember, that movie where he played an NPC in an MMORPG that managed to develop self-awareness?

The spot highlighted two of the "background actors" (NPCs, if you will) in the movie: Janelle Feigley ("Woman jogging") and Brandon Scales ("Man with Briefcase").

These actors may not get any lines or even appear in the credits, but they still have to show up for makeup and wardrobe, hit their marks, remember and respond to their cues, know exactly what to do in the scene, and make it look natural.

The same sort of actors that the Screen Actors Guild is striking for - so they don't get replaced by AI creatures.

Trying to remember the link to the video that showed the spot that Ryan shot during the making of Free Guy where action that's taking place in the background ended up in the finished film, or vice versa, I forget now and it's late and I haven't eaten so my rememberer is faulty ;)

When you've got everyone in the country already, why not have them make your in-flight safety video, and call yourself "The Official Airline of Middle Earth"?

When you've been crushing stuff for seven years, and have over 8 1/2 million subscribers, people give you stuff to crush and high speed cameras to test.

When they rank the states for good things, Mississippi comes in last place in pretty much everything.

Their official state anthem, well, it might just be so bad it circles around to being AWESOME!

It has a slide whistle AND KAZOOS!

Who better to do a "fact check" on that Apple ad than a guy with his own hydraulic press?

As an aside, Apple deserves ALL the hate they've gotten for that ad. One commenter noted that all they had to do was run the thing backwards - instead of destroying all this stuff to replace it with the new iPad, you open up an iPad and all these tools for creativity explode out!
