   In hindsight, I hope there isn't a reason that Munch didn't want this posted here (hopefully he was too busy to do it himself... or too humble... or something like that).  Also, I wasn't out to beat him to the punch -- I really was just excited about the prospects for Vixen.

Munch -- if I've done you a disservice in sharing this news, feel free to kick me vigorously in the sack!  Twice!

I think it's great that people are helping her out with financial support. Great to know that there are still those out there who don't just care for themselves. However I still think it's kinda sad that in a super-rich country like America, about 40.000.000 people are uninsured and literally screwed when they get seriously ill.

Well, I just wanted to wish Vixen a happy new year which will hopefully be a better one (especially health-wise), than this year.

Hopefully she will get better.  It's also a sobering reminder that getting health insurance is crucial because even if you're young and healthy, you never know.  I know plenty of people who drive expensive cars and even insure them but don't bother with getting health insurance because it's "too expensive".  Our government will never get it's act together in regards to health insurance so with that in mind, we all should get our own acts together.

Get well, Vixen.  You're too good to have to go through this.

Herringbone: I'd've PMed you, but you've got that "ignoring" feature going, so I'll ask again if checks are both valid and useful if made out to "Vixen LaMoore," and if no one clarifies this then I'll just send one out that way tomorrow.  Just wouldn't mind knowing for sure ...

(So, anyone else I can PM about helping to coordinate this?  I'm assuming Munch, once he's non-MIA ... )

Nope ... the offer is real ... and I did post on her site .. since well .. it's her site ... was busy with being out of town and all, so I didn't get to post elsewhere. ..

course now I can't find the post (I heard there was a server crash) ...

This gist of it though is .. yes .. up to $5,000 donated will be matched if received by the end of the month (gotta have a timelimit sometime) ... already something like $1,540 or so has been donated ... I don't know the exact number ... will keep that updated in the thread over there when it is figured out ...

I am stressing if you send something, only send what you can comfortably afford ... I don't want to see anyone have regrets because they end up unable to pay bills or whatnot ... but if you could send $5 or $10 ... and several hundred people do as well ... the goal becomes much more reachable ... plus Vix sees just how many fans she has ...

What happens if the $5,000 is met and people still want to donate? Go for it. $10,000 is a rough figure ... I believe I saw her mention more ... but $5,000 is all I (and my partner) feel comfortable matching (again, stick with what you can confortably afford) ...

So that is the game ... you have until the end of January to play ...

Latest update:  $1,830 received so far from her fans, which will be doubled via the Munch Match to $3,660.  And it sounds like there's more already on the way.

There are still 3+ weeks left to take advantage of the match.  The goal is $10k minimum to Vixen.  Let's show her what kind of fans we really are!

I'm slightly concerned -- I sent Vix a check a week ago and I'm waiting for my account to acknowledge its deposit.  So now I wonder if it got to her okay.  If we could have an update of amounts of contribution, I should be able to recognize mine among them -- otherwise, I've got to try this again in the two weeks remaining this January.
