A week or two ago we had to put our beloved family dog Bruno down. He was getting on in years and had some minor arthritis that we kept in check with some natural supplements like glucosumine.
Anyway my parents went out to the desert with him and our other dog and he was acting really lethargic and was ignoring food, which is not normal for Bruno. He'd get up at 2 am if I had to use the bathroom or went downstairs to get a drink just to bum a snack off of me

. SO my parents took him to a Dr out there who said to see our home vet and have tests run asap. Turns out he had some sort of ropy growths on his spine and a few organs that didn't show up in tests run 3 months ago. He also had some internal bleeding in his stomach that they were not sure what the cause was. An operation may have saved him but as the Dr said his quality of life from such an operation would be very poor and the chances were not good for survival.
We couldn't let him suffer in pain so we had to put him to **82**. Still miss him a lot. He used to come in to my room after my operations and nudge my hand and lay down by me to make sure I was ok.
Back around Christmas a good friend of mine had his truck roll over him while he was working on it, it dragged him into a ditch and did massive damage to him. Broke his back, but didn't sever the spinal column, bruised his organs but didn't rupture any of them and broke some ribs puncturing one of his lungs. He's been kept sedated and mostly **61** for the last month till his release this last week. He will heal up ok it seems, though the back thing is going to be difficult.
So, yeah, life sucks a lot for all sorts of people it seems. Whats up with that?
