It was a very bad, tasteless April Fool's joke that irks me because after it one of the admins ranted about being pissed off at everyone for being ingrates. I would never expect the BEA to do something of this caliber because regardless of free content that some people leech off or all the lurkers, the moderators and admins share a lot of respect for their userbase and know that the memberships, contributions, and other things are made for the forum in general which doesn't even require registering (if I'm not mistaken) to view. Personally, for their sake, I'd be more concerned about the copious amounts of material posted there that could be a threat rather than being disgusted by the userbase that gets offended by an intended joke. If you're going to be something that involves a large community of people, you should have respect for them, even the whiny ones.
