Personally, I'd love to see the Cubs and Indians in the World Series. Just so I can watch everyone in the stands freezing their asses off.

If my team can't win it, I like to see a team win that has never won it. So, I'll be pulling for the Rockies. Sorry, Cubs fans.

Ironically enough it looks like the Rockies could be the team to beat right now.  They have been on an absolute tear for the last couple of weeks.

Sadly the Cubs are probably doomed again this year.  Sweet Lou unfortunately had a case of putting the cart before the horse in Game 1 with the D-backs.  If Rich Hill can pitch a brilliant game tomorrow the Cubs might still force a fifth contest, but it won't mean much if they can't get to Brandon Webb.

Right now I'm just loving the fact that the Yankees are also in a 0 - 2 hole against Cleveland.

I think the Rockies will win.  They've somehow had the Phils' number.  Even JRoll broke loose in game 2, but he was mostly alone.  They're in a way like the DBacks -- a bunch of guys you won't hear a lot about but after they get busy, you'll find you've lost.

So I'm more comfortable back in the role of anti-fan.  Cubs and Skankees are down 0-2.....Extra sweet is how the Cubs were inexplicably picked to win and the Skanks had Pay-Rod (despite his recent terrible post-season history)  and their offense which so far hasn't shown up.

So it's Rockies, D-Backs, and BoSox in sweeps. The Yankees' bats woke up enough to stay alive.

You have to love the Rockies, coming out of nowhere. Now people will have to acknowledge that they have some great hitting (including the league's best hitter in Matt Holliday) and the best defense in the game.

I am inclined to agree.

By the way, here in the NYC area, the Death Watch has begun for Joe Torre. The biggest question is if he gets shown the door, who will replace him? Who would *want* to replace him? Especially when the Yankees won't be getting better next year....

Honestly, I think anyone who replaces him will do worse.  Maybe the team will do fine, but in the percentage where manager work has an effect, you'll lose.

It's cool to see a lot of players in Torre's corner, waiting to see what happens with him before they make their contract decisons. Mariano Rivera, Alex Rodriguez...

Even David Ortiz has things to say in Torre's favor:

Congratulations to the Colorado Rockies on their winning of the National League Pennant! Cheers to series MVP Matt Holliday (also the NL Batting Champion). Now people will learn both how to spell and how to pronounce "Tulowitzki".

Looks good for Cleveland, too. Right now, they just went up 7-0 in the 5th against the Red Sox.

Can't wait to see celebs freezing their asses off in the World Series!
