Today the Phils were mercifully off.  But Atlanta (lost) and the Mets (lost) played.

Until today I would say Cole Hamels held the least deserving won-lost record in the NL.  After today, Santana is up there with Hamels for the title.  Damn.  But they deserve it.

The Mets are really a .500 team - just like the Yankees, who were just brutalized by the Pirates by a score of 12-5.

The All-Star Game is fast approaching....

Who are you voting for? Who will wind up starting? Who *should* start?

What happen? The Yankee and Mets bats decided to suddenly wake up last night. What about those Twins bats to also wake up, to be now only a half a game behind the White Sox's.

Today the Phils were off (So were the Braves -- playing tomorrow).  Fish won, but Mets and Skankees lost, plus the Reds won on a walk-off HR, #603, by Jr....I think he only needs to hit another 5 to pass Sammy So-So....

The ML-leading Rays go for the home sweep of the BoSox tonight (airing right now on ESPN.)
Unfortunately, the game is blacked-out here in the Bay Area.

The Mariners are home for six or seven games, which means traffic in Chinatown will be fucked up all week. If they just forfeit the games, maybe we can keep traffic moving.

You never want to forfeit games when you're playing Toronto.  They take underachieving to a whole new level.

My Yankees lost again 7-0 to Boston. But Dam, my hat goes off for John Lester who pitch a complete game and a gem of it with 8 strikeouts. Trust me, If Lester can stay healthier he going to be better then any Boston pitcher  now or before,

Phils won, almost by shutout, 8.2 innings, but still swept the Braves at home 6-0 and so far this year 8-1.  And the Skankees lost by shutout , so no need to forgive.
