Phils lost 4-2 Sunday, and are getting clobbered tonight. 8-0 Mets in the top of the 4th.

The Brewers won C.C. Sabbathia, making the NL Central the most exciting division in the league (Thanks to the Rays, the AL East is the most exciting in the bigs).

Mets just manage to hang on to defeat the Phils 10 to 9. with the Phils getting two runs in the bottom of the ninth. Mets bull pen almost blow enough, yet Pedro look shape tonight
and Boston just beating the Twins 1-0 in their own ball park, what happen to their home run bats, falling asleep for the last week sweep by the Rays in 4 to split 4 games with the Yankees and now just beating the Twins by one run, again in their park!

Hey, the Mets almost blew a sure thing -- but they didn't.

Seattle, on the other hand, has a real talent. Leading 3-0 at the end of the first inning, they managed to lose 4-3 to Oakland.
Someday, chi1dren, this entire fuck-up will be yours.

No, but for the rest of the season won't ever relax when facing the Phils.  And Wagner's era went up over a point in his last 2 games on top of that.  So yes, we lost...but we have equity.  No matter how much you're ahead of us, we won't stop.  Ever.

Plus during the fun we debuted a pitcher named RJ Swindle.  How he didn't work in finance or as a lawyer before baseball, I don't know.....

And I just read that the Cubs responded by acquiring pitchers Rich Harden and Chad Gaudin from Oakland.  While Harden may be the more noticeable name in the deal, I think Gaudin is the diamond of the deal.

I also heard that Sabathia was already going for a no-hitter against the Rockies tonight.

Buckle up folks, it's going to be a wild ride in the NL Central!

Mets are still winning, Phils, too.  We won our 3rd, thumping the Dbacks in the first game of our series.  Skankees were shut out tonight.  Boo hoo.  Joba the overrated Hutt lost.    Ryan Howard now leads MLB with 28 HRs and the NL with 84 RBI and he's not going to be an all-star.

Agreed. I hope to see a banner or two with his name on it at the All-Star Game.

Josh Hamilton {Texas} put on some show hitting a record 28 home runs in the first round. Boy ,it brought back memories of seeing Mickey Mantle hitting them out their
To bad, he lost out to Justin Morneau {Twins} in the last round to win it all

He beat Bobby Abreu's 2005 record of 24 in one round (As a Phillie, not a Skankee), but didn't beat his 41 overall standard.  Still a damn impressive show of power.

I still wish Ryan Howard was there.
