Lisa Lisa from the Cult Jam
« on: December 19, 2002, 08:57:20 PM »
I've been watching "I Love the '80's" on VH-1, and during 1986, they did a bit on Lisa Lisa and Cult Jam.  What I don't remember from that time period (probably because I was only 9 years old) was that Lisa Lisa had a really nice rack.  She has some pretty big boobs.  I'd say they might even be D cups.  Full C's at least.  She still has 'em as a matter of fact.  Anyone notice this?

Sadly, she had them reduced. I don't know if the topic is still searchable in this forum, but its been discussed.

You just so happen to be dealing with the worlds leading expert and archivist of Ms. Lisa Velez and her incredible bust. She was discovered by the muscularly overdeveloped quartet Full Force who apparently found a protege with tits big enough to rival their muscles.

Sheber if you're reading I can't think of a better opportunity to extract the LL & CJ "Let The Beat Hit 'Em" performance  and the "Michael Jordan's Playground" outtakes from the Rackumentary and post them.

Yes from her debut with "I Wonder If I take You Home" to her last hit "Let the Beat Hit 'Em" Ms. Velez maintained a Double D or larger bust making her the only true big bust superstar aside from Dolly Parton, actually bigger then Dolly following Dolly's c. 1987 weight loss. In fact she, along with the Benny Hill show and my 36-FF 9th grade lab partner, is a major reason I hang out here. My favorite Spin magazine article describes her in her dressing room overfilling her stage costume. Aside from early appearances, Velez's curves are mostly concealed on album covers and in the videos of her biggest hits "Head to Toe" and "Lost in Emotion". I included most of her at her biggest in the Rackumentary save for the "All Cried Out" video where she's hulking out of a blue 80's minidress.

Sadly she underwent a reduction around the same time Soleil did shrinking to a full C cup as Berkovw noted, still fairly big, so big in fact that when paparazzi photos of her in People, the NY Post and other tabloids revealed her "keyhole" scars peeping from her revealing tops, they were mistakenly reported as implant scars ! (Mercers' favorite big boob trivia fact #1).

She did take them out with a big bang though I'll always cherish the cover of the "Let The Beat Hit 'Em" 12 inch. She's leaning over her mic stand, her incredible mounds bulging from the cleavage of her jacket. Hopefully the live performance captured on Showtime at the Apollo made a good transfer. I'll guarantee it is the greatest display of uncontrolled huge breasts jiggling and bouncing ever broadcast on mainstream TV. No pressure there Sheber. No pressure.

I'm including the previously published candid from NY's Puerto Rican day parade to illustrate that like Lisa Lisa, when Boriqua's go big they mean BIG!

Boriqua is what hardcore Puerto Ricans refer to themselves as. The Boriquen (sp?) Indians were indigenous to the island before Spanish settlers moved into the Carribean. By hardcore, I mean they buck even their Europen ancestry and claim only their indigenous ancestry. And for some reason, the jpeg that depicts the anonymus woman I hold to be their queen keeps disappearing. If it's deleted because her face is nt obscured, let me know and I'll quit posting.

I actually got to meet Lisa Lisa during a party at NY's Palladium. A freind of mine's band was being managed by someone named Steve Salem, who also handled Roxanne, and UTFO. Somehow Lisa, and Full Force were involved in the same circle, as was Samantha Fox. Lisa was a totally regular girl, even though at that point she already had a #1 album and single to her credit. She was very nice and not stuck-up at all. In fact, her boyfreind worked for Federal Express (which I thought was pretty cool). Samantha however, had herself "roped off" for the night and I was never introduced.

Man, I was skinny back then.

...and we all thought that Soleil's reduction was a crime against nature.  Stuff like this should put a person in the cooler for a good 25-60 years.

SON OF A BITCH Dick and Jane !!! I was at the Palladium that same fucking night! Make that outside the fucking Palladium cause the musclehard bouncer motherfuckers didnt think I passed their fucking dress code. And I had to take the fucking subway all the way from Union Square to 92nd St. with my Olympic sized "I'm finally gonna see those jumbo latina boobs" hard-on. Why didnt you say something Dick and Jane? Why didnt you have the foresight that in 6 or so years something called the Internet would bring people with like interests together and that one day you'd know some guy named Craig Mercer who's younger self happened to be waiting outside in something called an on-line forum and to let him past the velvet rope? Huh? The nerve of some people!

Oh yeah, I completely forgot that Full Force was also producing Samantha Fox, the other vocalist with tits to match their muscles. They could've discovered an H-cup black girl and formed a big-tit girlgroup named 3HW.

We had a similar thread about Lisa a while ago...

I met her twice.  Being related to Lou and the guys of Full Force we sometimes had these family get togethers.  These guys have been performing since they were four and five years old.  Their father (a producer from the chitlin circuits) discovered most of the talent that they produced in their studio.

Lisa was a friend of theirs who hung out at the studio.  She knew she was talented and she actually had a much larger vocal range than she used in her performances.  And yes she was large!  Her boobs always looked meaty and full like she would burst through her clothing at any moment.  I never saw her display the Boriquen attitude though - well not as strongly as the Philly Boriquen attitude...Now where is that reunion photo?

Thanks Craig !

You brought me some fond memories here, describing your knowledge of Ms. Velez.

To tell you the truth Craig, I was just tagging along with my freinds that night, and I wasn't going there for the "sights". Lisa, if I recall, wasn't dressed to show herself off, although she did look beautiful. My freinds band was call Pilot Jones, they did dance music of the era (late 80's) and actually got a 12" single put out on CBS records. Today you can find them scattered all over the city in various dead end jobs.

Most of the good sights there were the barely dressed women attending the party TRYING to get attention.

These days, (with Jane in my life) our nights out are alot more fun, and with even better sightings. (It's nice to be part of other people's sighting too). Next time, dude, maybe it'll all work out
