Vixen Lamoore tried this with her surgeon.  She had unfortunate issues as a result, requiring that she let things heal, then get some reconstruction.

Probably the best approach would be some combination of nipple pumping/stretching and/or nipple piercing, which seems to have a way of plumping up the nipples (likely through scar tissue).
