Long consideration my ass - she or her manager are simply business savvy. She never really cut it as a traditional gravure idol anyways, but seemed more at home doing the pseudo-porn stuff. In any case, more power to her.

Don't shoot the messenger.  I am just reporting what she said.  She apparently gave it a lot of thought whether or not to truly make the switch.  Yes, i agree with the reason why she switched her name.

Perhaps you're unfamiliar with the expression Shoot the messenger, but I am not blaming you for anything nor making a personal attack.

What I am disputing is her contention that this was not her plan all along - using very raunchy idol releases to either a) drive up demand for her AV debut and but her in a better bargaining position, or b) this was in her contract from the beginning, in order to increase demand for her debut disc. Perhaps a little from column A, a little from column B.

Of course, in the end, it's her word against my opinion and she obviously has the higher ground in this case - how would a total stranger know what she's thinking? Boy, just when I think there isn't anything good to see on the threads, this one jumps back to the top.

I have to say that I too am not surprised that she has made the jump to AV, what surprises me is that it took this long!
