The mainstream media does believe that 135 lbs is heavy for a superstar, known more for her looks than her talent.

And in this case I can't disagree...  What amazes me is how hot I thought Jessica Simpson was... for me, the top blonde in Hollywood.  a mere 20-25 lbs, and now, for me, she approaches "average."  Every ounce of that went to the wrong spots... her face, her chin, the backs of her arms, her waist, her upper hips...  Extra weight usually adds curves, in her case, it seemed to fill them all in.

Diesel did a good job of explaining the way I see it. It's not that gaining a few pounds is a bad thing, it's that Jessica does not carry it well, and it looks to have hit her in all the most unflattering spots, including her arms and her chin. This is as opposed to Jennifer Love Hewitt, who gained significantly more if I remember correctly and looked RIDICULOUSLY hot. Man, I woulda hit that so hard she'd still feel it three years later.

I dunno if it's genes or whatever, but some people can look good with a few extra pounds. Some can carry it gracefully...some not. Also, they're estimating she's gained about 25 pounds and remember, Jessica's only 5'3, so that's not exactly a small gain. ...But then, JLH is half an inch shorter, and she gained more, so...

Damn, I REALLY wish JLH would gain it back.

How true and well put. Early in her career, she was curvier too but in more flattering places like her legs. Perhaps if she were to combine the curviness with some physical training, she might "wear" it much better.
