why dose everyone only likes .jpg pict I woul like to upload .bmp they are in better quality, dose someone know a free place to do it?

Not really - unless the compression on the jpg is set really high. But everyone prefers jpg over bmp mainly because the file size - and thus download size - is a tenth of the bmp's.

Oh sure, you could compress bmps in a zip file...but then, compression is what a jpg does natively, so what's the point?

The saving of an image rendered in poser is an export process, there are a few file formats that can be used, amongst them JPG. The standard poser export settings for the JPG are of a really lousy quality, ultra high compressed. Better to export to a lossless format like TIF or BMP and convert that file in a paint program... which you need anyway for post-production work.

in photoshop i'm usally choose 12 for the .jpg compression is where any better/higher compression in that program?

As it says in the Forum Rules, you can attach as many of your own morphs, drawings, or renders as you want.

12 is the highest-quality .jpg that PhotoShop can produce.  I haven't checked to see how the file-size of one compares to a .bmp of the same image, but it should look almost as good as the .bmp, and the file should be at least a little smaller.

10 is all you need unless you got 4 mb+ source pics
