I'm sure it was taken out of context in a way that seems contradictory.

When GOP has no defense, they say we attacked her gender.  This woman made me vote for Obama, and that's not easy to do....

Pray, v.  To ask that the laws of the universe be annulled in behalf of a single petitioner confessedly unworthy.

I don't know if anyone else here gets that, but I do, and it's -- well, not funny. Scarey. But I agree.

Amy Poehler on the SNL skit said it best for me: we wanted to vote for Hillary Clinton for president, not a woman for president. If McCain had chosen a useful, competent, qualified person as his VP, who just happened to be a woman, I wouldn't have minded (I still wouldn't have voted for him, but I wouldn't have minded). The fact that he is sticking by Palin tells volumes about his willingness to use the most cynical approach to trying to win the White House, a "lie, cheat and steal at all costs" approach that we should have had our fill of by now.

Oh, and can someone please tell Bill O'Reilly to STFU about the law, because he is not a lawyer and he doesn't play one on TV either:

part 1
part 2
Quote:

"No it's not crazy," Kelly replied. "Because . . . what if somebody obtained a document illegally that proved some massive conspiracy among the presidential candidates and they leaked it to Fox News and we knew it was stolen. You don't think we'd put it on the air? You're darn right we would. And it's not illegal."

Agreed. I backed Hillary, but I would not mind a McCain White House in the least. I was on the edge of voting Republican for the first time in my life.

No more. Now I know what I will do.

MSNBC Countdown with Keith Olbermann, Sep. 19 2008: "Keith Olbermann donates $100 for every lie Sarah Palin tells"

To be fair, every politician lies, but when you set yourself up as a straight-shootin' maverick from outside the Washington old boys' club, this sort of scrutiny is bound to happen.
