It wouldn't be bad for Palin to become Senator if Steven gets kick out for ethics. Sometimes a slice of bread looks good all wrap up, until you open the package and find mold in it. I say let's open up the package and let Palin be Senator, before we let her be president.

No offense to the Alaskans (collateral damage)!

I saw the reports that the McCain campaign staff are anonymously bashing her. Granted, there are many many pages of us bashing her, but what a bunch of pussies they are. Show your face and don't blame just her. She was a big part of it but I can guarantee they were egging her on to take the mudslinging and name calling to the next level. Typical spineless management scum.

Couple of days ago the secret service blame Sarah Palin for the increase death threats to Obama. I have to say in Fairness that I don't think it was McCain first pick for VP, and I think the far right wing corporate media had more to do with picking a VP than McCain. That closing speech he gave at the end pretty much convince me that if McCain was that person that he could have won.

McCain won the GOP nomination by being a moderate Republican and he was the least favorite by Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh, and many other who sold themselves to the money. I think the majority of the republican, or at least the one I know are mostly leaning toward the middle of the road. Sarah Palin was pick out of desperation to get the Female votes, and it was a bad calculation that Palin turn out to be against many of the issue that were important to women, such as rights to their own body and equal pay.

I think the tactics of picking people in position of power were too much like the remnants of the Bush era and people saw that Palin was just a tool, as Colin Powell, Gonzales, and Micheal Brown was being used by the same administration.
The fact that she has ties to the Oil Industry made her too much like cronyism choice for the corporation and not the women's interest.

I wish Sarah Palin well in whatever she wishes to pursue in life. I don't think she the target or blame for the party failings. She didn't ask for the job, but was pick for it with very little vetting. She was blame for the increase paranoia toward Obama, but she only echo what the right wing pundents have been saying for years.

oh i agree for sure.

i actually think she got a bum deal, i mean i still dont agree with a single political position of her that im aware of, but its become apparent over the last few weeks to now that she's actually not a dan quayle level blithering idiot as she appeared to be.

but from the minute "san franciso" came out of her mouth at the elitist gathering known as the republican convention, it was obvious what kind of politician we had on our hands.

she had nothing to say while people were shouting vile falsehoods about obama. she did, as a tried and true republican will, question the patriotism of people who were yelling at one of her rallies...until she realized they were yelling for and not against her.

her isinuation that small town america was "realer" than the rest. the "liberal elite" media being responsible for her inability to answer questions a high school politics nerd woulndt blink at.  sticking to her guns on the whole "proximity makes me a russia expert".

as much as all politicans are manipulated, and this lady certainly undermined by an almost inexpicably incompetant rollout, she still stood on her own two as a total dumbass.

and while i wouldnt give her credit for the republican loss, it didnt help her negative rating had climbed into the low 60s by election time.

so again please republicans, give this lady a shot in 2012 lol...

Mark my words. The Republican party bigwig that puts Sarah Palin up for president in 2012 will go down in history as the man (or woman) who condemned his/her part to exile for sixteen years at least. Remember what the Tories went through while Tony Blair and the Labour Party were in power.

While McCain bears primary responsibility for the mistake of selecting her, she also is to blame for not admitting to herself and McCain that she wasn't ready.  She just saw it as a grand opportunity for herself without caring about the consequences to her party (if the R's lost) or to the country (if the R's won).

If you offered me a position as Executive Vice President in a Fortune 500 company, I wouldn't take it.  I know I'm not up to that standard (yet) and it would be a great disservice to the company and their customers and shareholders for me to do that.  She should have had similar awareness of herself and the position to decline it, just like Bobby Jindal and others said they wouldn't take it.  VP of this country is not something you should take just because it is a once-in-a-million-lifetimes opportunity.

If she runs in 2012, either she won't make it through the primaries, or Obama will get a Reaganesque landslide.
