That's notty!  And we love her.

Aw, damn, why'd you have to go and say that? You defused the notty bomb.

Hugeboobfan: Just to be clear: you have no experience with illegal drugs whatsoever but you support their continued prohibition because you've heard they're dangerous. Is that correct?

Meanwhile, you get upset that the government, through the Obama administration, might try and prohibit your ability to own and use certain firearms.

Dearc: HOO-Bingo!  We have a winner!

The operative word in huge's question is "might". During the campaign a lot of commentators said that people liked Obama because his candidacy allowed them to project onto him any image of themselves that they liked. In the case of this "he MIGHT take away our guns" right-wing rallying cry, this is exactly an example; they are projecting their as-yet-unfounded fear of him taking away their guns onto him. That is part of the reason why they are so vehement about this, the same way that some bushy-tailed Obama supporters are.

Marijuana has medicinal uses, and generally is not the much-talked-about "gateway" drug. I don't smoke any substance -- never have, never will, I think smoking is a nasty and generally life-threatening habit -- but I am glad that New York State has recently decided to throw out the "Rockefeller" drug laws. They served mainly to increase the number of minorities in jail, generating a larger than necessary criminal underclass that the state so clearly does not need, as well incurring great expense to keep them in jail.

Y'know there's one thing that always got me about weed. Why do people need a depressant? Less energy = less awesome. Then again I'm addicted to insanity, mischief and aimless wandering.

and somehow...I always seem to bump into stoners.

J- Stoners are like the middle management goons to meandering types.

...and both alcohol and weed are depressants. Why do people need them, I wonder? Supposedly they reduce one's inhibitions. Believe me, I don't need any artificial boost to make reduce my inhibitions

Honestly, I'm on the fence regarding  medicinal uses for marijuana, but as I said before, my knowledge is limited.  If it can be properly regulated, sold, distributed, taxed, etc. then fine.  I understand there are thousands of cancer patients writhing in pain for the rest of their lives, not to mention cataracts and arthritis, etc.

But just so the Hugeboobfans of the world can get high like he were Jeff fucking Spicolli ("Fast Times at Ridgemont High"), got no respect for them.

Drug users can't deal with the problems life throws at them, so they devolve into wasteful pathetic practitioners of modern bio-chemistry.  However,  THERE IS HOPE: REHAB!

The idea that people like me, whom own guns, are somehow a WORSE offender than a drug user is beyond ignorantly naive, and deserves nothing more than a serious sobering look at their lives, and come up with a solution, or a bitchin' overdose.
Stand up for what you believe, even if you must stand alone.

I'd tell you just how often I get "high", but that would ruin the fun.

Modern bio-chemistry, is that what people are calling plants nowadays?  Like the things that grow in dirt?  Anyway, assault-rifle owners can't deal with the problems life throws at them, so they devolve into wasteful pathetic paranoid nutjobs who spend all their time stroking their guns and fantasizing about gunfights.  Generalizing is fun, isn't it?

I never said you are a worse offender.  I said governmental restrictions on what we can and cannot personally ingest (or rather grow or possess) seem more outrageous than restrictions on what highly dangerous weaponry we may own.  And I've tried overdosing on marijuana, but then I found out it was impossible.  Bummer dude.

How do you feel about alcohol and cigarettes?  Want those illegal too?  After all, you wouldn't want them legal just so the Winston Churchill's and Ulysses Grant's of the world can get **92** and smoke.

You know, I'm still waiting for you tell explain what YOU believe or feel.  All you're doing is REACTING to my posts by quoting me, but providing no original thought or insight.  I've done nothing but explain my point of views almost to repetition.

You may not be stupid, but certainly plain boring, and taking my sarcastic remarks too seriously.

Dearc, please realize that no one will ever love/respect you for having tons of guns and ammo... and realize that no gun, no matter how big, will make up for your tiny penis... and please go play Russian roulette with yourself for a few hours.

You remind me of the guy in Michael Moore's "Bowling for Columbine" who kept a .44 Magnum under his pillow and then was pointing it loaded to his own temple as a "joke".

Get help Dearc.

You need psychological help much more than the average pothead.
