Silencing the opposition is something Donny's pals over in Moscow are very familiar with.

Keep up the McCarthyism 2.0, you're only giving yourself 4 more years of Trump like how the right-wing hate gave us 4 more years of Obama.

Oh yes, McCarthyism 3.0 is already in progress by Trumpel against China. Really brilliant leadership ... some people would call it idiocracy, I don't know why ...

Isn't the Dem's McCarthyism 2.0 what led to 3.0 in the first place or are you just willingly ignorant of one party shittiness like Fox News and Rush Limbaugh does?

It's iconic how sick the latest decission of Trumpel is to not allow muslims from several countries to enter the US territory ...

A member of the German parliament isn't allowed anymore to visit the US because of this. He has the German citizenship and and thus a German passport, he even has a diplomatic passport.

Neither will help. The reason is that that he was born 1975 in Teheran (Iran) and was fleeing with his parents in the 80's to Germany. And the Iran doesn't allow people to let go the iranian nationality.

Several 100,000 people living in Europe or other countries, that have a passport of this countries, but still have a nationality from one of the 7 countries Trumpel declared he don't want to see them in the US, won't be able to visit the US or come to make business deals.

Sorry, but this is plain sick! This Trumpel guy and his junta companions need to see a doctor - urgently.

Is it correct that from the Whitehouse website the civil right information has been deleted?
Wow, this explains his political style. Civil rights is nothing right-wing totalitarianism dictators want to read anything about.

Here's a handy dandy Liberal Translation Guide.

1) “Peaceful Protest” – No liberals were hurt while throwing bricks through windows, demanding “Death to the pigs” or getting together in large gangs to waylay small, lone counter protesters from behind.

2) “The Constitution” – An outdated, irrelevant document that should be ignored unless you are claiming that some liberal agenda item is guaranteed by it despite the fact that no one noticed it for 200 years.

3) “Fascist” -- People who want to cut spending, abide by the Constitution and get the government off your back.

4) “Greedy” -- People who want to keep money they’ve earned instead of giving it to people who don’t work as hard, but do vote for Democrats.

5) “Sexism” – Disagreeing with Hillary Clinton, opposing the abortion of female babies or being against mentally ill men being allowed to use the bathroom with women.

6) “Racist” -- Those who believe that people should be judged by the content of their character, not the color of their skin and those who believe in enforcing the immigration laws that are already on the books.

7 ) “Bipartisanship” – When Republicans cooperate with Democrats to push the liberal agenda. Not to be confused with “selling out” which happens when liberals cooperate with Republicans to push their agenda.

8 ) “A Courageous Speech” -- When one liberal gives a self-congratulatory speech to another group of liberals that restates things they all believe.

9) "Dressing up as a giant vagina in public" -- The best way to preserve the dignity of women.

10) “Fake News” – News from non-liberal sources which are, by definition, fake because they make you stick your hands in your ears and yell, “La-La-La, I don’t want to hear from conservatives, la-la-la!”

11) “Corporate Welfare” – Something that’s horrible and should never happen unless it involves Planned Parenthood, PBS or NPR.

12) “Homophobes” – Christians who believe in the almost universally agreed upon standards of male/female marriage that existed for thousands of years until liberals decided that the foundation of our civilization isn’t trendy enough.

13) “Choice” – A wonderful thing when it comes to killing babies, but awful when it’s applied to guns, schools, opting out of Social security or having less government in your life.

Bonus:

“Love Trumps Hate” – Screaming obscenities, smashing windows and assaulting people to show that you’re loving and they’re hateful.

EDIT: Thanks for the reminder. List from Townhall.com

Imagine if Obama, Kamala, or Biden survived two assassination attempts and the media not publicly destroying the reputation of everyone who issued even the most mild criticism of them and then just dropping the story completely.

Yeah, I cannot either.

Oh, gosh, so much one could say in response. You are such a cutie pie. I don't want to feed trolls, but "marriage" has not existed for thousands of years. Only the last 600 or so, if that, and at first only for the rich or royal. It's been a religio/civil property contract, and we peasants and serfs had no property, so no marriage.

But it's pointless to debate the mindless points you pasted from townhall. Almost all of us here at the BEA like women and, besides appreciating their bodies, we first respect them as complete persons who control their own bodies. That is a basic human right. The opposite is slavery.

So look up one more definition, that of "zygote."

Then we'll talk.

Oh really?   ???

I wish government would let women control their own bodies.

And how do you feel about mandatory vaccines? Should government truly let women control their own bodies?

False equivalency. Any individual's rights to avoid vaccination are limited when his/her potential contagion threatens other people not participating in the individual's decision. Same cannot be said of contraception/abortion issues. There's a vast difference between an act that endangers others and an act that merely offends them.

Well, it's been a pretty interesting weekend!

Continuing to issue Imperial diktats executive orders like they were going out of style, Great Leader issues another clumsy, ham-handed one that is, well, downright un-American. This one slams the door on people from a list of seven countries that he believes support terrorism.

(Interestingly, none of those countries are home to his business interests....)

And you know, part of his trouble is that he doesn't run these things past his advisors first. But that's not likely to help much these days. When you remove the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff - you know, the guy who knows everything about our armed forces (what we have where and what they're capabilities are) and the opposition forces (what they have where and what they are capable of) - from the innermost circle of national security advisors, and replace him with someone who has zero experience in either politics or international affairs; someone whose claim to fame is running a website.....

One of the countries on the list is Iraq. The place where we are fighting ISIS, and are relying heavily on local forces.... Where Iraqi translators and informers have risked and are still risking their lives to fight along side of us.....

Spontaneous protests arose in cities like San Francisco, New York, Boston, and other cities with international airports.

Mike Rawlings, the mayor of Dallas, issued an apology to the dozens of people who were detained at Dallas-Fort Worth International. "This is just not good for our city," he said. "It’s not good for our state. This is a welcoming place. We want you here."

Republican senators John McCain and Lindsey Graham spoke out against the order, but so did Corey Gardner (R-CO) and Lamar Alexadner (R-TN).....

Business leaders also issued statements:

"We have many employees from the named countries, and we do business all over the region. These employees and customers are critical to our success and they are our friends and our partners. We stand with them." - Jeffrey Immelt, CEO of General Electric, in a memo to employees

Apple's Tim Cook said the firm "would not exist without immigration, let alone thrive and innovate the way we do."

"We will neither stand by, nor stand silent, as the uncertainty around the new Administration’s actions grows with each passing day." - Howard Schultz, CEO of Starbucks

"I am here because I am a refugee." - Sergey Brin, the co-founder of Google, who emigrated to the United States from Russia at the age of five, at a protest at San Francisco International Airport on Saturday.

"This is not a policy we support." - Lloyd Blankfein, CEO of Goldman Sachs, in an internal memo

The ACLU reported that over the weekend, they received six times as much in donations - over $24 million - as they did for all of 2016. Over 350,000 people donated (that's more people than attended the inauguration), many of them for the first time, according to a spokesman.

Acting Attorney General Sally Yates said today (1/30/17) that the Justice Department would not defend the order in court, saying she did not believe defending the order would be "consistent with this institution's solemn obligation to always seek justice and stand for what is right."

And as I was typing this, the news came over that she's been fired. The White House said Yates "has betrayed the Department of Justice by refusing to enforce a legal order designed to protect the citizens of the United States" and portrayed her actions as political.

Buckle up......

Now it is official. The new US- junta administration are raving lunatics.

I mean people like Julian Assange, Edward Snowden or Chelsa Manning are labeled as traitor ...
But an interims secretary of US Justice calling a traitor is the same methods / expressions people like Erdogan or even Kim Jong Un are using for his people in the administration that are not agreeing to them.

Handcuffs for 5 year old children? Unbelievable. This is even worse than Middle Age. What people are you to allow and support this?

Excuse me, but the US junta administration has finally said goodbye to democracy.

An emendation: Those ACLU donations I referred to were *online* donations only....

More fallout on the executive order....

Seems that when Sally Yates was having her confirmation hearings for her position as Deputy AG, current AG nominee Jeff Sessions grilled her on whether or not it was right for the AG or Deputy AG to stand up to the President and refuse to carry out or defend unlawful actions....

http://www.motherjones.com/politics/2017/01/jeff-sessions-sally-yates-confirmation-hearing

Needless to say, Democrats brought this up in Session's confirmation hearings.

Meanwhile, a "Dissent Cable" has been circulating around the State Department. It's taking advantage of a channel whereby members of the Foreign Service and other diplomats can issue semi-official criticisms and comments on governmental policies. It's sort of a sanctioned complaint channel, whereby people who use it are free to speak their minds without retaliation or censure.

This particular cable, criticizing the order, was just submitted - with around one thousand signatures.

http://lawfareblog.com/breaking-news-full-text-draft-dissent-channel-memo-trump-refugee-and-visa-order

I've been hearing of reports (sorry, no link) that DHS officers have been keeping foreign nationals in custody - in spite of court orders against that.

The order was so incompetently executed that people with valid visas and green cards were blocked from returning to the US. Even a British MP, who happens to have been born in Somalia, was on the "Keep Out" list.

Quote
What we’ve learned since, however, is the scary reality that the order really wasn’t reviewed by competent counsel at all. It was written, apparently, by Steve Bannon and Stephen Miller, a couple of hacks without expertise in immigration law. It was then handed over to the Department of Homeland Security without the opportunity for DHS to offer feedback. But when DHS counsel assessed that the order did not apply to green card holders, they were swiftly overridden by Bannon.

Over the weekend, chaos reigned on this front, with members of the Trump administration contradicting each other until Sunday night DHS’s initial interpretation was allowed to stand. The order was signed with Defense Secretary James Mattis standing by Trump’s side, but Mattis himself apparently never read the order — he was simply used as a prop.

Homeland Security Secretary John Kelly was on the phone receiving a briefing about the proposed policy shift when, according to Michael Shear and Ron Nixon, “someone on the call looked up at a television in his office. ‘The president is signing the executive order that we’re discussing,’ the official said, stunned."

http://www.vox.com/policy-and-politics/2017/1/31/14434720/trump-incompetence-malevolence

There will be those who will say this order is just like the one Obama signed in 2011. No, it's not. Obama's order was in response to a specific threat, and was much more narrowly worded. It probably underwent a proper review by relevant agencies, too.....

http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/statements/2017/jan/30/donald-trump/why-comparing-trumps-and-obamas-immigration-restri/

What should really worry everyone is the utter incompetence on display here. And this was when there was no imminent need for action. What does that bode for a crisis like, oh, a spy plane crashes near China? There's a coup in Turkey? North Korea launches a long-range missile?

More on the fuck up here:

@rtpoe: I think Trumpels junta administrations key competence is: "the utter incompetence on display"
After 10 days Trumpels junta administration has done more things wrong than Obama and Bush together in 16 years.

I think it is widely know Trumpel has German ancestors. His grand father or grand grand father was a brothel owner in the US after he settled in the US. So why not give him a "German" nick name?
If you Americans pronounce Trump (he lost the "f" and the end) it sounds like Tramp in German. And a "Trampel" (similar sound to Trumpel) in German is what pretty well fits to his character and person:
http://dict.leo.org/german-english/Trampel

So for me he has earned this nick name with every pore of his self, with everything he says and does, again and again, over and over ...
