Dulce et decorum est pro patria moriAs far as what we're doing in Niger, it's part of drone surveillance and training of local forces in operations against extremist militias (ISIS and Al-Qaeda offshoots, and Boko Haram (remember them?)). The soldiers were killed when a patrol they were part of was ambushed.

It looks like El Presidente's latest attempt to undermine the Affordable Care Act is getting stymied by an emergency funding bill.

US Constitution, Article II, Section 3:
He shall from time to time give to the Congress Information of the State of the Union, and recommend to their consideration such Measures as he shall judge necessary and expedient; he may, on extraordinary Occasions, convene both Houses, or either of them, and in Case of Disagreement between them, with Respect to the Time of Adjournment, he may adjourn them to such Time as he shall think proper; he shall receive Ambassadors and other public Ministers;
he shall take Care that the Laws be faithfully executed, and shall Commission all the Officers of the United States.
Though he may not like it, the Affordable Care Act IS the Law of the Land. Interfering with it by killing the required subsidies is a violation of the highlighted passage.
