The latest Rasmussen Daily Presidential Tracking Poll makes even worse reading for President Obama. According to Rasmussen, just 26 percent of American voters strongly approve of Obama’s job performance, with 41 percent strongly disapproving, for a Presidential Approval Index rating of -15.

I've said it before and I will say it again: since you do not have any cogent, actual objection to President Obama, at least please refrain from making shit up. For one thing, you have no idea if this is his "daily routine", to put his feet up on a desk. Secondly, you cannot sit there and say that no other president has ever put their feet up on a desk in the Oval Office, and if you do, you would be lying. (I'm sure a bit of Googling would produce other presidents in such a pose.) Thirdly, OK, what's so special about the Rutherford B. Hayes desk? Are you telling me that no other old object is in daily use in the White House or the Oval Office? It's a DESK, it's not a religious icon or something. Fourthly, whether he's in leather shoes or not, who cares?

Damn JJ, you have nothing to say and yet you say so much of it.

Besides which, Zook, your "Grand Slap" cartoon is the last thing I've seen in here with any real critical sting to it -- whereas America getting turned into Venezuela, that's not even criticism, that's just ... wayyy way out there.

But I ran into this during the Clinton years.  Manly men who ordinarily never gave a crap about interior decorating suddenly started claiming that the new President would be the worst thing to happen to the White House -- the literal, physiacl White House -- since 1812.  This stuff gets amazingly petty amazingly fast.

Barack Hussein Obama: I Told You So, Yes I Did
By Howard Galganov
Montreal, Quebec, Canada

When Obama won the presidency with the help of the leftist media, Hollywood and entertainment liberals, ethnic socialists (ACORN), stupid non-business professionals and Bush haters, I wrote: It won't take six months until the people figure this guy out and realize how horrible a mistake they've made.. And when they come to that realization, the damage to the United States of America will be so great it will take a generation or more to repair - IF EVER.

The IDIOTS who not only voted for the messiah, but also worked hard to promote his lordship, are now left holding the bag.

Here are two things they will NEVER do: they will NEVER admit to making a blunder out of all proportion by electing a snake-oil salesman with no positive social history or management experience of any kind. They will NEVER take responsibility for the curse they've imposed upon the immediate and long-term future of their country..

In essence, the people responsible for putting this horror show in power are themselves responsible for every cataclysmic decision he makes and the consequences thereof.

In just six months, the messiah's polls are showing the following: on Healthcare Reform, he's going under for the third time with polling well under 50 percent, even within his own party. Even though he might be able to muscle a Healthcare Reform Bill by using Chicago bully tactics against his fellow Democrats, it will just make things worse.

On Cap and Trade (Cap and Tax), the fat lady is already singing. On the Stimulus Package (Tax and Spend), his popularity is in free fall. On the TARP package he took and ran with from President Bush, it's all but Good-Night Irene. On the closing of GITMO and "his" war on what he no longer wants called the War On Terrorism, he's standing in quicksand with his head just about to go under.. On a comparison between himself and George W. Bush at the same six months into their respective first term presidencies, Bush is ahead of him in the polls. On a comparison between "he who walks on water" and the 12 preceding Presidents between WW II and now, Obama ranks 10th. On a poll just conducted, that asks who would you vote for today between Obama and Mitt Romney, it's a dead heat. Between Obama and Palin, Obama's only ahead by 8 points and she hasn't even begun to campaign!
It seems to me that Obama wants to be everywhere he shouldn't be. He's personally invested in totally insulting America 's only real Middle Eastern ally ( Israel ) in favor of Palestinian despots and murderers. He's traveling the world apologizing for the USA while lecturing others on how to do it right, when in fact and truth he has no experience at doing anything other than getting elected.

He went to the Muslim world in Egypt to declare that America "is not a Christian nation" while he heaped praises on Islam, where he compared the "plight" of the Palestinians to the Holocaust.

The Russians think he's a putz. The French think he's rude. The Germans want him to stop spending. The Indians want him to get his nose out of their environmental business. The North Koreans think he's a joke. The Iranians won't acknowledge his calls. And the British can't even come up with a comprehensive opinion of him. As for the Chinese, he's too frightened to even glance their way. (After all, China now owns a large portion of the United States ..)

Maybe if America 's first emperor would stay home more, travel less, and work a little bit instead of being on television just about every day (or forget about his Wednesday date nights with his amazon wife) or stop running to "papered" Town Hall Meetings, perhaps he would have a little bit of time to do the work of the nation.

In all fairness, it wasn't hard to be right in my prediction concerning Obama's presidency, even in its first six months, so I'm going to make yet another prediction: OBAMA WILL PROBABLY NOT FINISH HIS 4-YEAR TERM, at least not in a conventional way.

He is such a political horror show, and so detrimental to the USA and his own Democratic Party, that the Democrats themselves will either force him to resign or figure out a way to have him thrown out.  Who knows, maybe he really isn't a born  US Citizen and that's a way the Democrats will be able to get rid of him.

Or, more likely than not, the Democrats will make Obama THEIR OWN LAME DUCK PRESIDENT.

I don't believe the Democrats have nearly as much love for their country as they do for their own political fortunes. And with Obama, their fortunes are rapidly becoming toast.

The Democrats can keep on blaming Bush for everything, but that game's already begun to wear real thin.
Their election mantra was "WE DON'T WANT 4 MORE YEARS," which the STUPID people bought, since McCain was nothing at all like George W. Bush.  The new mantra will soon become: "WE DON'T WANT 6 MORE MONTHS."

Peter H. Hattop once reviewed the Volkswagen Jetta -- but far more to the point, Galganov (his name is right there at the top) is a Quebecois separatist.

Maybe this means JJ has either run out of Americans or anyone non-secessionist.

The opinions-to-data ratio is pretty stunning.  There are nightmares, there are fat ladies singing ... given enough time, Galganov may even invoke fat ladies having nightmares.

I really have to wonder, though, at the conclusion that Obama won't complete his first term.  Heck, if Herbert Hoover made it, you would think Obama, who inherited so much from the Herbert Hoover directly before him, could make it, especially since his polls, while down or muddled, aren't that history-making.  But how do you not complete a term?  Let's see ... Nixon resigned.  Is Galganov crossing his fingers that Obama will attempt a burglary?  I'm going to bet against Galganov on that and say No.  So, how else?  Well, FDR died in office -- but he'd already served three terms, and you can't do that anymore, and Obama, despite his nagging smoking habit, looks pretty spry to me, despite that tinge of gray.  So that leaves us JFK -- and when you start going there, it becomes fair to ask: is the writer PRO-Oswald?

The man is serving the next three years.  That's it.  That's democracy.  Get used to it.  Conservatives would be far better off looking to themselves and restoring the estate of conservatism.

After doing a Google search on the "author" of this piece and reading some of the biographical information on him, his causes and such, my only comment reguading Galganov is to paraphrase the words of Tim Allen in the persona of Buzz Lightyear.

I don't agree with Howard Galganov  that Obama will not serve out his team - can't see any real possibility of that happening.  The guys dreaming or wishing on a star.

To claim that Obama's doing well or that people just aren't getting his message?  That one seems a stretch?  Here are some reflections regarding problems Obama has from the BEA Whirling Swirling World of Politics.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1. He promised to end the war in Iraq, turning his attention to Afghanistan to end our involvement there. Iraq is still going and going and gone.  Meanwhile Obama has gotten us in deeper in Afghanistan?

2. He promised to fix the economy.  Things keep getting worse - more Americans are out of work everyday despite a so-called Stimulus Bill he got passed as the big government solution to all our economic woes.  Now his own party says oops, it didn't work?

3. He put his popularity on the line in gubernatorial races in Virginia and New Jersey but lost both of them?

4. He put his popularity on the line again in Massachusetts but lost the so-called "Ted Kennedy" seat  to the other party, in a state where Dems outnumber Repubs by 3-1?    (note to CNN -  doesn't the Ted Kennedy seat really belong to the people?)

5. Democratic Senator Evan Bayh today essentially gave the finger to Obama and quit - he will not run for reelection in Indiana, however it's literally too late for the Dems to now get a proper candidate ballot listed in that state?

6. Nemesis to Senator Bayh, Senator Harry Reid, Majority Leader in the Senate was allowed by Obama to write the Health Care Bill (Obama never wrote one nor actually had one) to the detriment of Senator Harry Reid.  Polls show Reid would have trouble running for dog catcher in his home state today?

7. Obama ratings are now lower than George W. Bush, the man he ran against in the election, though Bush was not on the ballot.  Obama continues to run against Bush, even one year after being in office with a Dem majority in the House AND Senate, but got his lower numbers in just twelve months of his presidency.

By the treaty George Bush and his administration negotiated with the duly elected goverment of Iraq, ALL American troops will be OUT, GONE by December 31, 2011. Barack Obama is simply following Bush's plan. For example, the Bush plan was to reduce and have 50,000 troops in Iraq by July 1, 2010 and guess what ? That's Obama's plan too ! So Obama will get our troops out and then brag what a genious he is when all he is doing is following Bush's plan. What really is scary is how this " constitutional profesor " is mishandling these " trials " against the terrorists in Guantanamo. He says they will get a fair civilian trial but they will never be allowed to walk free if found not guilty.  ??? After all, several were tortured, none were read their Miranda rights, they have not had access to timely legal representation and so forth and so on. If you try to give them a fair trial, they walk. But can you imagine if the admited mastermind of the  9/11 attack on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon walks out a free man ? Can you imagine the political fallout ? The Democrats would never be voted into the White House again. Frankly, Obama was foolish to try to close Guantanamo and he, and many other liberals, will regret making political hay out of it. These Al-Queda types are not mere criminals and they are certaintily not soldiers. A legalistic solution will not be found. If we Americans had followed the letter of the Geneva treaty, we could and should have shot them as spies since they were not in uniform and follow no recognized flag. The Geneva treaty allows the execution of spies without trial or recourse. In WW2 Franklin Roosevelt's administration did this to german spies who had landed on submarine off the New Jersey coast and were here to sabotage war production plants. Even though they were soldiers, they did not wear a uniform and they were shot as spies. These Al-Queda people see themselves as " warriors of God " therefore they should be treated as the germans were. It's only fair, after all.

Well....

It's worth noting that the above-copied "editorial" was published LAST JULY. From the looks of things on his website (galganov.com), he's a "Johnny One-Note" Obama-hater. Sort of a Canadian Rush Limbaugh....and about as rational.

Anyway, the President's desk (the "Resolute Desk") has a fascinating history - check it out sometime. But if JFK Jr. can play in and around it, President Obama can put his feet up on it if he damn well feels like it.

With regards to his promises, you can keep track of them at Politifact's Obameter. Remember, it's really unfair to count the "In the works" ones as "Promises Broken".

I'd have to say that a good deal of the dissatisfaction is likely our own damn fault. Our own expectations were too high. We expected a superhero to wave a magic wand and make everything all better. But there really aren't any easy fixes, especially with huge, complex issues. Like the ones he's dealing with. And the Sore Loser Republicans (aka The Party of No) aren't helping.

The Standard Republican Response to any Democrat proposal
