Um.

You are aware that the original paper ("Ileal-lymphoid-nodular hyperplasia, non-specific colitis, and pervasive developmental disorder in children", Wakefield et al, The Lancet, 28 February 1998) suggesting the link between vaccines and autism was not only formally retracted in 2004 for several reasons, including the fact that it looked at a mere 12 ch1ldren (FAR too few for a serious study) and relied heavily on the memories of the parents rather than any real factual evidence, but that Wakefield has his medical license stripped, and that further investigation revealed that the "study" was found to have contained fraudulent data?

And that EVERY. SINGLE. REAL. SCIENTIFIC. STUDY since then has shown NO LINK between vaccines and autism? Yes, I did read that list of "30 Scientific Studies...." And you know what? ONLY ONE OF THEM CONNECTS VACCINES WITH AUTISM - and that one, the first, is a special case - it looked at Hepatitis B vaccinations for newborns, relied on "parental report of autism diagnosis" and not a confirmed medical diagnosis, and it covered the years when the "scare" was at its highest (leading me to suspect that the "parental report of autism diagnosis" was overstated). They refer to the effects of heavy metals and other toxins on neurological development, possible causes for autism, and the like. Not a single one of the rest makes any connection AT ALL - not even a hint of a suggestion of a possible link.

And that although the MMR vaccine had eliminated measles in the US over ten years ago, it's back now because people are not vaccinating their little ones? And measles is one of the deadliest contagious diseases among the young?

Timeline and summary: http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/nova/body/autism-vaccine-myth.html
The fraud revealed: http://www.bmj.com/content/342/bmj.c7452
Just one article on the spread of measles: http://www.tampabay.com/news/health/as-measles-spreads-concern-over-unvaccinated-children-does-too/2215771

No, of course not..... Why did I even bother......

Reasonable response but there are plenty of additives and preservatives that can adversely effect the neurological functions of a **09**.

Such a short fuse for you to show hostility. It was presented as more of a food for thought kind of way.... As are these:

CDC Admit they knew Vaccine Preservative caused Autism

Italian Vaccine Courts award Millions in Autism cases

What do you think about the Vaccine Racket?
Imagine if Obama, Kamala, or Biden survived two assassination attempts and the media not publicly destroying the reputation of everyone who issued even the most mild criticism of them and then just dropping the story completely.

Yeah, I cannot either.

Well, I suppose if it were possible to figure out exactly what was going on in that spiderweb of arrows and graphics, one might just find some small piece of truth in it.

Meanwhile, for those wondering what are some of Hillary Clinton's accomplishments (not that a discussion of Science and Medicine in a corporate-dominated society is uninteresting, but to get back to Politics, the primary subject of this thread), I came across an article where the question was asked of a number of key Democrats.

Consider this a "cheat sheet" if anyone brings up the question:

"What Is Hillary’s Greatest Accomplishment?"
Carly Fiorina dared Democrats to name it. 20 top Dems accepted the challenge.
POLITICO, September 17, 2015

http://www.politico.com/magazine/story/2015/09/carly-fiorina-debate-hillary-clintons-greatest-accomplishment-213157

As First Lady, she helped create and guide through Congress Children’s Health Insurance Program, a key program that brought health care coverage to millions of children. As a Senator, she worked across the aisle to provide full military health benefits to reservists and National Guard members.

She made gender equality a priority of U.S. foreign policy. And she created the ambassador at large for global women’s issues, a post charged with integrating gender throughout the State Department.

Hillary Clinton was instrumental in helping secure $21 billion in federal aid to help New York rebuild after 9/11.

She negotiated the cease-fire in Gaza that stopped the Hamas from firing rocket after rocket into Israel. She helped secure the START treaty’s ratification, a landmark revision of our nuclear arms agreement with Russia.

Her authorship of the Pediatric Research Equity Act. This law requires drug companies to study their products in children. The Act is responsible for changing the drug labeling of hundreds of drugs with important information about safety and dosing of drugs for children.

She was the point person in Copenhagen in compelling the Chinese to commit to cutting carbon emissions.

Hillary was the point person in the Clinton Administration on the Adoption and Safe Families Act of 1997, a bill that refocused adoption policies on the needs of the children, made it easier to remove children from abusive situations, provided support and services to adoptive families, and encouraged adoption of children with special needs. The bill increased foster adoptions by 64 percent by 2002.

She went to Beijing 20 years ago and declared that women’s rights are human rights. More recently, she stood before representatives of nations like Russia and Uganda and stated boldly that gay rights are human rights, too.

Sec. Clinton accomplished the nearly impossible mission of getting China, Russia, the European Union and the civilized world on board with crippling sanctions against Iran. This is what brought Iran to the negotiating table.

Winning the UN resolution supporting military intervention in Libya (the one giving support to the rebels in their efforts to overthrow Qaddafi).

Renewing diplomatic ties with Myanmar.

The aftermath of that Libyan intervention has been messy, with rival governments fracturing the country, although unity talks are currently taking place. Myanmar has not been perfect either. The promise of released political prisoners has only been partially filled. And the military is being accused of manipulating the upcoming general election. Still the participation of the previously banned National League for Democracy party is a step forward.

These are reminders that, in the real world, progress is often halting. But the fact remains that Clinton struck major and consequential diplomatic achievements, even if the final historical judgment on their lasting impact is years away.

Clinton traded banking deregulation and media deregulation for military and reservist aid and support. I think that sucks, and in the long run was short sighted of the danger of doing it for immediate needs.

On the gay issue, she was a full grown adults when she spoke out against gay rights and change when the consensus change. I kind of feel that she is willing to be whatever it takes to get elected and not for the right reason. She even wrote a opinion piece about why she was running for president and title it "It was personal" and made it sound like a vendetta against the GOP for their attack on her husband. I just feel that I don't know who she is!

Not really a fan of Ted Nugent but hey....

Quote
It should come as no surprise, then, that a recent **24** post by the outspoken guitarist explaining reasons to vote for GOP front-runner Donald Trump would send liberals into full panic mode.

While Nugent did not endorse any candidate, he said his list in favor of voting for “The Donald” was too special not to share.

We think you’ll agree with him:

Obama is against Trump
The Media is against Trump
The establishment Democrats are against Trump
The establishment Republicans are against Trump
The Pope is against Trump
The UN is against Trump
The EU is against Trump
China is against Trump
Mexico is against Trump
Soros is against Trump
Black Lives Matter is against Trump
MoveOn.Org is against Trump
Koch Bro’s are against Trump
Hateful, racist, violent Liberals are against Trump

The Nuge nailed it. The reason these people and organizations are against Trump is because he threatens them and their left-wing agenda. A Trump presidency would certainly shake up the infrastructure many on this list have either established or fought to maintain under President Barack Obama and his administration.

Nugent even provided a few “bonus points” for a Trump presidency as well:

Cher says she will leave the country
Mylie Cyrus says she will leave the country
Whoopi says she will leave the country
Rosie says she will leave the country
Al Sharpton says he will leave the country
Gov. Brown says California will build a wall

All of those links you posted really reek of bias. That's the problem I have.

You know.... Why isn't this your knee-jerk response to a post that is coming from an article that's pro Hillary? The thought doesn't cross your mind of the article being biased when you agree with it?

As for Ted Nougat's list of reasons for Trump, well, I like the people/groups he listed.

Well this question has been asked and so far you are in the Minority in a big way.... 30% are scared of Hillary with the codes. 60% are scared of the Donald with the codes...  So if it comes down to it when they are in the voting booth and that is the main question they ask themselves he losses big time.

Hillary is hawkish, it's true - but she probably won't let slip the dogs of war as often as one might fear. In her time as Secretary of State, she's met and worked with a LOT of world leaders, and most likely has a pretty good read on who can and cannot be trusted. And they know her just as much, and have an equally good read on how she'd react to provocations.

Drumpf has said he wants to have an "unpredictable" foreign policy. That is the single scariest thing about him. Our friends and allies NEED us to be reliable and trustworthy. And our enemies - well, they don't like us anyway. Scaring them a little with vague threats isn't worth the fear of our friends.

By the way, New Jersey has been called for Clinton. She got something like 2/3 of the votes in their primary, giving her more than enough delegates to get the nomination.

For the BernieBros, she's got more states, more delegates, more pledged delegates, and more raw votes than Sanders. There's no grounds at all for continuing to take their "fight" all the way to the convention. All they will do is piss off everyone, and make sure that the superdelegates confirm Clinton as the nominee. The best thing that they can do is to push for the ISSUES that Sanders was fighting for - that's the more important thing, anyway.

Within a day or so, expect for Sanders to give a speech or otherwise address the media and his supporters. What he says there will determine just how "presidential" he really is.

I'm voting for Bruce Springsteen for President, and concentrating on making sure that the Senate and the House goes Democratic. Every single Congressperson who voted for destroying the Voting Rights Act, or who voted for the last few government shutdowns, or who are stonewalling the nomination of a new Associate Justice of the SCOTUS needs to be booted out of office, period.

No matter how "presidential" Sen. Sanders is in the run-up to the (no doubt) contested convention, I have my fears that Lady MacBeth will ignore his requests to make the Democratic plank more progressive.

That said, fuck Donald Trump.

So let me get this straight, help me out here.

You want Hillary to win, you want the House and the Senate to be Democratic, and you want the SCOTUS position filled by a liberal to control that too? And you want this after eight years of the pendulum swinging hard to the left?

That's impressive. Congratulations. God bless America.
