Well, I do vary my news supply. The NY Times, Washington Post, USA Today, NY Post, NY Daily News, Mother Jones (which HAS been writing about the pipeline protests), Vox, Politico....
I suppose I should at least glance over a news periodical from the conservative side if I really want to consider myself fair.....
But I'm NOT going to trust a single word from any place on this list:
http://www.fakenewswatch.com/Meanwhile, our President-Elect gives further proof of his mental unsuitability for office. As a recount/audit begins in Wisconsin, he isn't content to have won the Presidency in full accord with the rules of the Electoral College system. No, he
needs to have won the popular vote, too. So he whines about "three million illegal voters" that somehow ALL voted for Clinton -
and they all voted in states where they did absolutely nothing to help her win the necessary 270 electoral votes.
Donald Trump's Pants on Fire claim that millions of illegal votes cost him popular vote victoryNow if I had any confidence in the intelligence of Trump, I could say that he sent that out in a deliberate attempt to distract everyone from a MAJOR story in the Sunday NY Times: "Potential Conflicts Around the Globe for Trump, the Businessman President" by Richard C. Paddock et al. I can't link to it, because at least one of the photos in the article features a person too young to be allowed to appear here. But I'm going to attach the graphic - each dot is the site of a Trump real estate venture. Or you could read this article at The Atlantic:
Donald Trump's Conflicts of Interest: A Crib Sheet. Funny how everyone was so worried about possible problems with Clinton and the Clinton Foundation, but ignored all the serious conflict of interest issues with Trump. It's not that they weren't being reported; it's that no one was paying attention.
But I don't think it's a deliberate move on his part. We've seen time and again during the campaign that he has a colossal ego that cannot take any slight, no matter how small. He simply cannot handle any loss. Frankly, someone who's ego is so fragile that they cannot be satisfied with winning by the rules cannot be trusted to behave in the rough and tumble world of international politics where you very rarely get your way.
