I can't recall any incidents of people being forced at gunpoint to take a vaccine. Or being unvaccinated, and being kept out of places at gunpoint.......

But it was just yesterday that Senate Republicans actually threatened to shut down the federal government over vaccine mandates. You tell me who's being unreasonable here - and let me remind you that the millions of people who have had the vaccine will say that the COVID vaccines are safe and effective. AND FREE.

It's really hard to separate politics from COVID. I recall a recent article (source not remembered) that the real "divide" in America today is NOT "Rich vs. Poor" or even "Republican vs. Democrat" - but "Vaccinated vs. Unvaccinated".

Mike Lukovich pretty much sums things up:
rtpoe

The snapping of pitch from a burning log,
The faint scent of pine filling the room.
Flames leaping about as if it were a ballet
Performing for its audience.
The soft, comforting glow of candlelight,
Bringing with it serenity and quiet thoughts.

Imagine if Obama, Kamala, or Biden survived two assassination attempts and the media not publicly destroying the reputation of everyone who issued even the most mild criticism of them and then just dropping the story completely.

Yeah, I cannot either.

Okay when did we change the topic to sci-fi disaster movies plot from Covid-19

Only conspiracists who have nothing to gain from spreading FUD would do that. Online trolls should get paid for their lies, it would at least make some sense, because doing it for free does not make any sense.

Didn't Trump say he had a plan to develop the vaccine? The world was racing the clock getting the Vaccine for a whole year................so how did the heck anyone thought getting the vaccine was a conspiring plan to get everyone vaccinated?!?!? The vaccine was openly available to mitigate the spread, and it was volunteered effort at best. No guns or locking people up **77** any down to the ground to get them. Pharmacy was openly given them out to the public for everyone to see, no back alley or injected into drinks or food without your consent. As for the OSHA requirement for safe working condition, I guess you can blame Reagan's administration for that one. Are you living in a state, or hiding in the hills of the backward civilization, where the vaccine was hidden to make you think it was a conspiracy?!?!?
Did you go to public schools or travel out of the country overseas and were required to show proof of shots to enter?!?!?!?

I've given up trying to talk to people who steadfastly will not take any precautions against a real medical/biological threat. My wife Kithara only left our home six times in the space of a year due to her diminished immune system and other health factors. This was not imposed upon her, she did it voluntarily, because she was being smart, safe, and there was a strong likelihood that if she contracted COVID-19 that she would actually die from it.
When the infection numbers started to spike and so many people were nonchalant about it, I was worried that I might bring the virus home with me from work through secondary or tertiary exposure. My office only allowed at-home work for two weeks and was then deemed a critical service and we were ordered back into the office, even though I could have worked from home indefinitely. So, every time I heard of a fellow employee who had a kid who may have been exposed at a friend's house, or who's sister tested positive a few days after a family gathering I was concerned. Over that year (April 2020 to April 2021) there were some close calls. Now vaccinated, Kith still refrains from going out very much and the number of those vaccinated has slowed and now more closely follows political affiliations and less the distribution of medical need.
Like I said, I've stopped try to reason with those people who will not make any attempt to protect themselves, and through that are helping prolong and exacerbate the problem.

That's basically what I said then I got ban for saying it!

There is nothing you can say and it all been said on the issue of masking and getting the shots. But now the story of conspiracy is getting nuts, the vaccine is free, and even Trump is telling people to get the shot after he got it. Biden is getting blame for not being able to end it at the same time he getting crazy stories about how he is going to lock people up if they don't take it. The people who preach to not take it end up dying from it. But waiting for the dumbest of our society to die off from it will take another 2 years and kill off any prospect of a healthy economy. Their are only 2 option to end it and that is to die off or mask up and get the shots. The third option of being treated for it is still not a sure fire way of not dying from it. The excuses of not taking the safety measure to be kind to each other is so bonkers, that I would think at this point the only excuse that I can see is that they don't want to end it under this administration, and wait till a GOP president to be the hero, when the only hero to give credit to is the people coming together, and that means all of us.

That's the part I simply don't understand. How people can be so insensitive and selfish, parroting the unscientific talking point of "it only has an X% mortality rate so I shouldn't care about spreading it". It's baffling and sad. The only way such people can be gotten to is if they become Herman Cain awardees. Which is unnecessary.
