I see these phenomena all over. Guess that proofreading is a lost skill nowadays. Where I work there was a in the employee bulletin board a message stating, " Do you know your roll at work? ", which made no sense in the context of the rest of the message but if they had put Role instead, then it would work.  Guess that basic literacy and grammar are no longer taught in our schools.

Auto-correct + rushing = these kinds of mistakes. And in the case of the Kansas City poster, spellcheck wouldn't have made the difference since "anally" is spelled correctly...

Yes, spellcheck would have made no difference BUT proofreading would have made a difference.

I tried a few minutes later and it was swamped - even flightradar24 is slow this morning.

All I can say is, they sounded 'animated'.  I think they knew what was coming.

Wayne Reinke from Australia took this photo of a Magpie surfing on a wing of a wedge tail Eagle in Gunalda, Queensland.  There was another photo were the eagle landed and the Magpie was on its shoulder and the eagle didn't seem to mind.

It seems the Russians are sending in much older tanks to and equipment in the first phase of invasion to exhaust Ukrainian weapons.(cannon fodder)   The Ukrainians have the FGM-148 Javelin anti-tank weapon, which the Russians are oblivious scared of.

The Russians are taking loses - but these are young and less trained troops.  Shocking tactics.

The war will be a demographic disaster for both. Even if Russia "wins", the bear will be weakened in the long run because Russia is declining in population due to very low birthrates and the additional loss of young men will not help the demographic crisis. Russia will be thrown out of the SWIFT financial arrangement which will do great damage to its economy because the ruble is not a currency the rest of the world will accept and the Russians need hard currencies such as the Dollar, Euro, Pound, Yen . Putin is turning Russia into a pariah state.

I doubt 200k Russian troops is enough to suppress Ukraine ultimately.
