Stupid place to build houses

Built on a mountainous region/area. They tend to be earthquake zones because plate tectonics create mountain/volcanos areas. Not wise to do that, that's for sure. 

Not any more stupid than building highrise buildings right near the ocean, not minding the saltwater rotting the rods in the concrete.

Well, that all depends on how you go about doing it.  The “bathtub” holding back the Hudson has metal rods for each tie-back, but you can see they’re quite fine today when you head down to the lowest level of the 911 museum. Of course, the Hudson is fresh water, but there’s plenty of salt water mixed up in the harbor nary a stone’s throw away.

Speaking of tanks:

"Whilst filming a tank safety video for the British Army in 2019, things didn't go too well for the cameraman when a tank crashes into his crew car. This was the second take as the first shots weren't satisfactory. Before shooting take two, the crew car was moved to avoid the cloud of dust the tank was creating. Unfortunately for the cameraman, the tank driver wasn't made aware of this minor fact."
