A US Navy LCAC (Landing Craft Air Cushion) that is still in use even though it was built during the Reagan administration almost 40 years ago. It will be replaced soon enough with a more modern version. Usually, most landing craft can only use 15% of the world's coastlines, but the Marine Corps was able to obtain these, and it made 70% of the world's coastlines accessible. They are also fast, can go over 40 knots or 50 miles per hour or 90 kilometers per hour on relatively rough seas. They can carry 80 tons of cargo. When I was stationed in San Diego back in the 80's and 90's, it was a sight to see as you were driving on interstate 5 on Camp Pendleton and see them disloge a whole bunch of Marines and their equipment.  :)
