Hogan's Heroes. (Not set in Stalag 17 specifically, but it was a TV show starring Bob Crane set in a German Stalag, prisoner of war camp, which was a comedy where the inmates are in charge of the facility for all practical reasons.)

Auto Focus, the 2002 movie about Bob Crane (played by Greg Kinnear), that showed that his post-Hogan's Heroes career as a pornographer and rake. A fascinating character study.

Das Boot (The Boat in English, perhaps the best submarine movie ever made, about a German submarine that takes a very perilous voyage from its base in occupied France, through the Strait of Gibraltar onto German ally Italy. It came out in 1981 and I recommend you see it in its German version with English subtitles because the dubbed version misses some of the drama.)
