Nope, the sun literally doesn't rise high enough in the sky to provide more than an hour's "proper" sunshine. And when it does, it's blinding as the mirrors of clarity, reflecting from the snow more often than not.

It's to do with how far  East it is. The further east you go, the less sunshine you get, up to a point, which is the darkest (around Siberia, Thor believes), then it gradually increases again. It's all to do with line of sight angles to the sun.

I agree...i can't imagine that Yulia would be there.  That would be contrary to everything we've been told of her, and the comparative way in which she has remained 'incognito' even after becoming an Icon of the internet.

I am also sure that if she were to be there, there would be a big announcement.
