Anyone see The Nevers on HBOmax?  Looks like a pretty good Steampunk show.

I watched that show with Charade, and while there are a LOT of characters to keep track, I really enjoyed it.  I had been worried that it was going to be just a sort of X-Men in Victorian England, but it really is Steampunk and has great production value.  A few reviewers don’t care for it much, but I thought it was loads of fun.

Not sure what, if anything, is carrying the show outside of the US.  Is HBO carried internationally?  Dunno

Having served in the Navy, I wondered what steampunk Navy would look like. This particular class looks like a pre-Dreadnaught battleship. The HMS Dreadnaught of 1906 was the first all big gun battleship and her powerplant used the then revolutionary oil fired boilers to drive a turbine which gave her superior speed to all. Suddenly all of the world's navies were obsolete and a mad dash naval arms race between the British Empire, German Empire, French Empire, Austria-Hungarian Empire, Russian Empire, Ottoman Empire and the USA began which was one of the reasons for World War 1 of 1914-1918.

Yes, it's an airship. Remember this which I learned in the Navy, a ship's screw moves water and a propeller moves air for aircraft. Those are propellers, not screws in that airship. A aircraft propeller.

Yeah, I think it’s just that the gas bag looks so small next to all the stuff that’s on the airship.  It doesn’t really look like a dirigible.  It looks like a metal boat that’s somehow in the air.  I know: you can do whatever you want in fantasy. The same might even be said of the pic that Cris posted, but at least it looks more like an airship.

Well, what the heck.  Don’t know if any others are into the genre, but I figured why not post some steampunk here, and discovered this ancient thread.

As a man who has "Girl Genius" by Phil Foglio as one of his favorite webcomics, I heartily approve of this message.   

Okay, so I began reading that comic at your mention, but when they killed her, I lost all interest.  I realize she probably isn’t really dead or they find some way to bring her back, but, yeah... just lost interest.

She hasn't been dead for years.  In fact, I'm gonna have to go back and re-read the early stuff to find where the event you mention happens, it's been so long I've forgotten.
