Ah, Nimrod's another Starflight fan!

To think that they fit the game, with its hundreds of star systems, each with their own set of planets, something like a dozen races with distinct personalities, and a planet landing sequence that (despite what is now considered crude graphics) brings tears to my eyes as I remember it, on two 360K floppy disks...

I don't do the console games at all; I'm strictly a PC gamer. I hang out at Armor Games quite a bit.

The last game I actually paid for was Immortal Defense. It's worth every penny, and I strongly recommend it to anyone who's getting bored with the usual run of tower defense games.

I just got APB... but that's not important

Starflight is a 4e game like privateer and elite (imho better counterparts) and if it uses a ton of galaxies with differences it probably uses random procedural generation, a technique which dissapeared after that only to reappear in spore.

Game that has brought me the most joy: Smash brothers melee

I like brawl better, but I don't have the friends willing to play it as often melee.

Game that I consider the best: Final Fantasy 7.  I hate the fanbase though, they are some of the most insane people I have ever seen on the internet.  It hasn't aged well either.

Most recent best game/honorable mention: Mother 3.  That is one of the best games I've played in my life.

Oh boy....this is tough to break down.....


PC  Single Player: SimCity 4 [which barely got it over Civ2] Because I could get lost in it for 12 hours at a time XD

PC Multi player: TF2 (technically 360 also.....but hey...i've got it for the PC so it goes there for me....and UT didnt make it because i never played it online...but ONLY because of that fact XD) And TF2 because i've played so many hours on that game with friends.

Consle Single player: Legend of Legaia -- PSX -- It was the first RPG i ever played....and beat XD (Though loyalty aside...ME1 and ME2 are at the top of the list...with KH 1 and 2 right behind them, lol)

Console Multiplayer: Mario Kart Double Dash -- GC -- never owned it...but so many different friends had it that it was THE BEST racing game ever made...lol....in my opinion at least. (i'm not into/good at the real world GT stuff XD)

Galaga is one of my all-time fave arcade games.

Berserk is my fave Atari 2600 game.

Night Stalker wins on the Intellivision.

Super Mario Bros. 3 is easily my favorite old-school Nintendo game.

Ristar is a beloved Genesis title.

Super Nintendo had so much good stuff, I'll have to give it to both Donkey Kong Country and Super Metroid.

Playstation's Alundra is amazing.

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time on the N64, of course.

I forgot about Tetris. That game was way too addictive. We also had a version of it for the home comp that would make comments("Whadya do THAT for?!" or 'That's the greatest move I've ever seen!", etc.) and sound fx(gunshots, explosions, screams, etc) when you placed pieces. Tinyjong was also like crack.
