I was just getting bored of leaving Germany unopposed
I suspect that within Europe there might be similar issues. Among the nations overrun by Germany, the most effective resistance movement, which probably shortened the war by half a year, was the German resistance. It was, however, Allied policy to treat all Germans the same, so its native resistance movements were ignored. On the other hand, on a per-capita basis, the Dutch and the Danes probably did the most to foil Germany's war effort simply by smuggling out prisoners who escaped from the Nazis. The French resistance was, to put it kindly, a mess.
