I have this fantasy where I get a nice house built for myself. There's an "electronics closet" in the basement, where I keep all the important wi-fi equipment and the like. The cables running from it to the rest of the house create a "warp" in the closet next to it - every time I open the door, it's a portal to a different place....

I have a comic I started a few years ago I've never shared with anyone about a door that's a portal to different places.  Every time it closes the destination changes.  The people exploring the destination have to keep the door open or their way back goes away.  I only got a few pages into it though.  But I have a plan for it, kind of like one of those stories to work on if you ever get the chance.
