For those of you who liked "300","Sin City",or the Robocop sequels,or who read "Daredevil","Elektra:Assassin",or "The Dark Knight" in the 1980's,Frank Miller's birthday is today.Without his outstanding storylines and notable artwork,superheroes wouldn't be the popular icons they are today.I remember when he wrote for "Daredevil",he did a story featuring the Punisher and the menace of PCP dealers.That story almost didn't get published because of its "harsh"(read "too realistic") content,but today such story arcs are commonplace in mainstream comics.

Lots of people don't know/realize, that the theme for the Monty Python show was John Phillip Souza's " Liberty Bell" march. That show was popular about 50 years ago during the 1970's. That is a lifetime ago.
