Well, here it is the day before Thanksgiving and I finally got all that damn paperwork signed, notarized and will be leaving in a few minutes to catch the bus and get to the post office to send the package on it's way.

I figure it will take about 6 months to a year to get it all approved and I believe it works just like my V.A. disability in that it will be retro-active back to the date it is filed with Social Security.

Hopefully I will be able to put a nice down payment on a new motorcycle and move to an apartment complex that allows pets!

Now if I only had someone like Rose waiting for me!

I prefer to use the rare, exotic term "old". I'm old. And bitchy.

The paperwork was rejected by Binder and Binder because of the time it took to get it all done.

These assholes wanted me to re-submit everything.

I emailed them and told them thank you very little and fuck you very much.

In June I will be 62 and I'll file for my regular social security.

If you redid the papers and got accepted, would that status carry on past 62, until the age when you get FULL benefits from standard SS enrollment? (65, 67, whatever it is for you.) And would that, as I suspect, be more in the long term than taking permanently reduced benefits at 62 instead of waiting? Would receiving Social Security Disability until you reach full-benefits age be more than what you'd get by starting at 62? (Factor in those six months of getting something instead of nothing, and assume you live past the full-bennies age unless you have good reason to think you won't. For non-elites 71 or so is a good bet; that the rich can expect to live an average of four years longer is probably not news to you.)

If you plan to be here a good long while, I'd guess the hit in later years from filing early in June is worse than the lower amount (I assume) SSD would get you now. That's information you need to know as you choose your best course. If that's the case, you could be foregoing a lot of money because some idiot burro-crat got you mad. I'd suggest you get revenge instead: make them be crystal-clear on what the 'deficiency' was; satisfy it; push to make them accept the original submission date as the effective start-date (but don't jeopardize the new claim just to get a couple of extra weeks out of them.)

Math can be hard, but Kansassippi-dumb is harder. Dumb isn't something I'd have pegged you as being. If nothing else, I'd want those six checks enough to insist on them. Go get'em!

There are lawyers that are local that work with this sort of thing.

Since I already receive disability from the Veterans Administration, I have time to see what is the best bet for me.

Here's a morph to also check out.

Yesterday I received a letter from Social Security that my disability claim was denied.

This was expected, but it still sort of scared me since "Freedom Disability" is taking care of my case.

I was informed that I can now apply for regular Social Security while waiting on the disability claim. I think I had to get the denial first so as soon as I get my drivers license updated with my new address I will  go ahead and do this.

With both pensions now coming in my life has gotten a lot better.

For a lot of years during when I needed to have a job to survive I barely got by and now I want to enjoy my retirement now that I have a lot time to spare get me some pets.

I choose to live alone since every woman I had ever loved betrayed me.

I am not bitter or angry about it, but since the diabetes has made me impotent why have someone around to argue with?

Don't get me wrong, I still like women, but I no longer want to live with any at this time.

Anyway, since the subsidized house I am in has a no pets rule I will be moving again, but this time I have time to prepare for it.

This past weekend I adopted 2 rescue kittens.

They are brothers already neutered and have their shots etc.

They are about 6 to 8 weeks old and already have taken over my home.

Don't get me wrong I also like dogs, but being I still have the bad hip taking a dog out for walks is not an option at this time.

I was going to re-name the kittens, but I decided not to.

Rascal and Rookie are good enough.

They sure are.

I have to keep them in the empty bedroom at night because they play most of the night then **82** from about noon to 4 or 5 pm.

The deal for moving during the first week of May fell through, so I will be staying at the apartment complex a while longer.

I had an eye appointment yesterday at the V.A. and the cataracts in my left eye are pretty bad and I will need surgery. This is why I am only able to do morphs on a limited basis at this time.

Unfortunately I may have to wait 6 months to a year for the surgery as the V.A. is just as lousy as the path toward poverty known as The Affordable Care act which isn't affordable at all.

The only difference is that your tax dollars pay for my health-care at the V.A.

If the cataracts in my right eye start to get worse there may be a time where I won't be able to do morphs at all, but so far that eye hasn't gotten any worse yet.

We're all growing cataracts all the time. If we're lucky, we live long enough for them to make trouble.

Really? I didn't know that!

If I had known I was going to live this long I would have taken better care of myself.

Yeah; I had my checkup last week, too, 'cuz my doc has this thing about diabeetus (Wilferd Brimley's Revenge!) and he told me that my cataracts were coming along nice and slow.
